Great job by both coaches to bring in the talent to their schools
Very good. You do get it. If Miles knew how to make game time adjustments and not be so hard headed he would be on the same level as Saban. Yes Bama does win so many games because all most NO one can match up with them. (note how they win going away in alot of the big games.) and when the game is close (games that talent level is close) they pull it out in the end bout 99% of the time. Thats coaching.

Losing to Clemson in the chicken bowl had a negative effect on LSU and Miles. I think 14th is the correct spot based on 2012.

we will loose around 15 players to the nfl,
we're returning more players from the 2 deep than we did last season. and it's spelled "lose"

we have the same coach.
yes....yes we do

if you are honest, that same coach couldnt finish in the top 10 with more nfl level players then most of the other teams he faced, and now you think he will finish in the top 5 after loosing those guys. even if we would finish with the top recruiting class (we wont) they are still incoming freshman.
LSU won 13 games very recently in case you forgot. and again....it's spelled "lose"

Oh and by the way its the same coach.
yes....yes it is

Purple and Gold,
If you would like a DIFFRENT comparison, here you go In 2008, Utah posted a record of 13–0 on their way to winning the MWC Championship, and they were the only undefeated team in the Football Bowl Subdivision. Also the Utes recorded a perfect record of 13-0 in 2004 under Coach Urban Meyers. Did they play in the NC game either year? NO. Are they a FBS program? YES. Sorry my football facts are not up to your standards.

14th. is about right with what we lost. Also schedule, wish we had Bama's schedule, not in the top 50!

They also aren't in an automatic qualifying conference or ND. Facts of the BCS. You can dislike the system all you want, but the fact of the matter is that an undefeated Notre Dame will make it every year as well as a team in automatic qualifying conference (barring three teams being undefeated). Thanks again for being a smart arse though.

Notre Dame "transcends" nothing
I think you missed the point completely. The single year I attended Notre Dame we absolutely sucked in football (3-9) and still ESPN would regularly dedicate significant portions of their college football programs to the Irish. I don't recall any other three wins teams getting the kind of attention ND received.
Its not fair but Notre Dame, and its legacy, will always be the face of college football. More than Southern Cal, more than Alabama, more than any other school, ND is college football.
In 2013 ND could once again finish with three wins and still pull more network coverage than most other schools.
In that way they transcend the game.

This is simply not true. USC and Bama get PLENTY of air time. USC sucked balls this year and got tons of air time and were pre season number 1 and everyone thought they would be the team in Miami and Barkely for Heisman blah blah blah and they lost 6 games.

Good lord learn to read. Allow USC or Bama to go through the kind of years ND experienced under Willingham and Weiss and see if they get the coverage ND received when they were irrelevant.
Bama and USC get coverage because they win. ND gets coverage because they're ND.

Seems like you are the one who can't read you dumb frick. USC didn't win last year and that got all kinds of attention from the media. The game against Notre Dame was hyped up to be the biggest game of the century and USC was dog shite. USC most CERTAINLY gets attention because they are USC. If you can't admit that then you are just dumb.
Not saying ND doesn't get attention, so no need to get your panties in a wad, but they are not "college football" as you stated and are certainly not the only team that gets recognition because of who they are.
Are you telling me that if Bama were to go 4-8 this season they wouldn't get attention? Give me a frickin break.

Good grief, you are dumb. You're talking about one season when USC was a preseason number one. Of course they're going to get attention for that reason alone.
I'm talking about more than a decade and a half of being irrelevant in college football going back to Bob Davie to Ty willingham to Charlie Weiss. ND never left the national spotlight even with six losing seasons under their belt.
ND transcends their record.

You're right ND is college football. They are the greatest thing on the planet and garner all the media attention. No one could ever come close to getting the hype/attention that ND gets. They will get more attention than Bama and USC will ever get no matter what.

You're not grasping what's being explained to you.
Sure Bama would receive a ton of attention if the defending national champs dropped 8 games in 2013. However, if they continued to do so for as long as ND did so then we would hear relatively little from Tuscaloosa.

I quite grasp it thank you very much. I just disagree.
ND wasn't losing 8 games a year either. They had bad years. But they have also gone to a couple of BCS bowls and other bowl games since they went to their last national championship.
Ya'll don't seem to like me saying that about Alabama. How about USC? Does that make you feel better? If they lost 8 games in 2013 after losing 6 this year, ESPN would still be slobbing all over them. If they lost 7 more the next year, same thing.
Now do you grasp what I am explaining to you?

No, you're wrong. USC completely dropped off the college football map during the Ted Tollner and Paul Hackett years.

Gold and Purple
I don't know what your problem is, and I don't care. I in no way was a SA. I did how ever point out that going undefeated does not make you the best team, only the best team against the teams you played during the season, or should I say regular season. Notre Damn is a media darling, we know that, the get special treatment, we know that. And in the NC game, they were as relavant as Manti Te'o girl friend.
