for that matter there were a ton of empties in the whole stadium all year, especially the east and west upper
No shite. The difference is you don't pay face value for the tickets. LSU sees a chance to make a few extra bucks. Remember who paid for that big new scoreboard next year. It sure as hell isn't the SGA.

Section 235 and 236 are student seats. Those are the two sections that are never filled up, even for the big games. So, give them to general admission, don't cut the student allotment if that's possible, and have them pack in without those two sections to be eye sores for games.

yea but one day those people are going to die and then it will be up to the alumni who they pissed off to donate to support their asses.

He meant it wasn't regular students. It's Law School reserved or something. They need to get rid of that and all the assigned/special seating given to student organizations. It should all be general admission.

And the way it's looking, I will be one of those pissed off alumni. I know of plenty others.

i think you need to account the tuition, books, dorm, and food fees on campus as part of what the students pay for those tickets, do you pay tuition and all the other ridiculous fees that go along with being a student? No.

I think Law Students have better tickets than those.

What the hell are you talking about? I can bet that many on this board attended LSU. Not to mention, you think students are paying tuition for LSU football facilities? Are you kidding me?

He will argue that none of that goes towards athletics, but you are correct. Students are already paying more than ever just to go to school and ticket prices have increased for them as well.

LSU is one of the least expensive educations for a university this size in the country. You think you're getting robbed? Please. Our students are just little girls these days. Crying over seats which they don't use and tuition that is inexpensive.

all Law students/Health students/ and other organization students sit in the same sections around the greek reserved section
trust me, the SS was PACKED for the Bama game and stayed PACKED. i would have loved to actually have a seat instead of a stair.

You could have had a seat in section 235 and 236 at the game.

Did I say I was robbed? No, I just stated a fact that higher education expenses are higher than ever before. Also, size of the university does not mean it is good quality. I'll tell you right now that the Flagship Agenda is ruining what decent education LSU offered before. They counter this by claiming false accomplishments. (see Top Tier status claims)

no. it was packed, even under the scoreboard.
And actually now that I think about it, I sat right behind the band for the UGA game, which is near the scoreboard and it was packed until about the 3rd/4th when everyone (not just students) left.

I think you are missing the point. Not saying they are getting robbed for their education. But, you keep crying about your donations, which is what it is, a donation, it offers no rights. Paying fees to the school should be figured in to their "cheap ticket" prices. They are paying for an education, and the LSU experience, which includes sporting events. I donate to LSU as well, but not because I expect tickets, I do it for what LSU has given me. More people should have that attitude.

Actually I never cried about my donations. I have season tickets and they aren't good season tickets if you consider last row of the west upper good. But I understand supply and demand and I understand that we want the ability to bitch about our scoreboards but then bitch about seating, not realizing the catch-22 in the situation.

I sat in the Alabama section directly across from the sections 235 and 236 and if you got to the game fifteen minutes before kick-off you were good for a seat in those sections.

Not really understanding what you are trying to say here, but bottomline, I think students should always have the right to tickets to a game played by students, over a non-student, or alumnus.
