While I too think it a pity that academic donations are conflated with sports, it is a well known correlation certainly not limited to the passionate sports fans on the rant:

I gave them 4 years of tuition. They gave me a degree. We are square.

Talk about setting a realistic bar - come on guys...most of us can’t even get our arms around how much $1.5B is

Heard it was a great event Friday. Lots of free food vendors and people celebrating LSU. I for one love my alma mater and despite the talk here, wish this campaign success
