It’s such a dumb take though
It is recruiting and it is fluid. Sometimes it sucks, but it is fun to follow during the summer. Nothing else LSU related. Anyone who doesn’t get a little excited about a top 50 player committing is so absurd
It's not a dumb take. Why would I get excited 6-9 months before a player actually has to sign? We've seen this story time and time again at every single university. Player Commits.... then in a few months they decommit because they wanna take their visits but they are still a "silent commit" then they sign with someone else, then we as fans trash the kid for going to a different school and say things like "I heard he was a headcase anyway so we dodged a bullet"
Let me tell you what i get excited about. Guys like Garrett Nussmeier who could have transferred out but decided to stick around and become an LSU legend.
I like a good transfer as much as the next and I'd love it if a 5 star committed to Michigan flipped last second to LSU... But recruiting is honestly bullshite now and I do not care about any of these guys until they put on a gold helmet, white jersey, and gold pants, slap that win bar and run out on the field for the first time.
NIL and transfer portal makes recruiting ridiculous.

The only thing is with that Nancy is the way things go now, recruits know where they are and how much money they’re going to get per school, so there shouldn’t be any surprises.
That's not true. Case in point Bryce Underwood. Those numbers went up on both sides in the weeks before he signed.
