I don't disagree, schwartzy, but it was nice to see us kick the shite outta teams and put them away. unlike the predecessor. that would've ended up like 28-17 vs mizzou, 31-14 so miss, 28-24 arky on a last minute play.

LSU's largest MoV seasons were accomplished vs much tougher schedules by the previous staff and 2017 isn't even near the discussion, so not sure what you mean.

OP is just using anecdotal crap as evidence. Les blew plenty of teams out.

Plus he lists Mizzou as one of Les's opponents when he never played Mizzou.

I have zero faith in the offense until I see consistent results over the course of the majority of the season.

Yep. I have been conditioned over the last 10 years or so to not believe a damn thing, or get my hopes up whatsoever, about anything positive happening with the offense.

im not the OP. and I was just using the schedule as an example of some many a miles coached game that was way closer and tougher than it needed to be. im not on here to be a giant shitburger of negativity. I don't hate the current staff. im ambivalent until they prove me otherwise. im passionate about the team and their success. im not gonna sit here and bitch every fkin day because I have no control over it. it'll all come out in the wash and i'll wait for results. I hope the results are successful. some of these o haters sound like the trump bashers that wont let it go.

LSU installing the spread offense
Skeptical.

I expect SE to sprinkle in some spread plays at most, as his leash isn't long enough for the full transition, especially without an actual spread OC.
If Eaux wanted to run spread scheme, he should've hired a successful spread experienced OC in '17, and begun recruiting the athletes for it.

If we've learned anything about the Canada ordeal, it's that O wants someone he can control. He couldn't control Canada, so we went completely opposite of Canada in Ensminger. He knows Ensminger will do exactly what he says without any pushback.

There was never any thought of getting someone else in here that's already established because why would that guy listen to what a d-line coach thinks about offense?

I will wait and see what shows up on the field against Miami before getting excited. It's about as exciting as following a recruit that commits 3 years early and then flips at the last second. I just want Sept to get here already so we can actually SEE how improved our offense is.

I don't believe that our offensive scheme will change much at all. However, I do see a change in emphasis, from run to pass.

Same offense; same playbook; same concepts. Nothing new to install, just tweaking of technique and fundamentals, and more passes called (60/40, p/r).

I would bet we see some tempo, jet and read; screens and pitches substituted for runs; routes and qb look offs designed to open up intermediate throws; less deep play action and sideline, more quick hits and attacking over the middle.

But it will be the same offense that we saw out of Ensminger from 2 yrs ago, just leading with the pass.
