Looks like we have the longest current streak again after recent home losses by Boise State and Oregon.

The NCAA winning streaks report ( LINK) only lists teams with current total winning streaks. Does anybody know of any long FBS winning streaks besides these?

1. LSU, 16
2. Wisconsin, 15
3. Auburn, 14
3. Michigan State, 14
3. Northern Illinois, 14
6. Arkansas, 11

If LSU can go undefeated, they'd be at 15-0, with a real possibility of reeling off at least 10 in 2012, to be 25-0 and at that point, look out Oklahoma.

What is the record 47?

you know the funny thing about this, those 47 games are bookended with losses vs. notre dame. oklahoma also would go on about a 15 game winning streak after that loss.

Oops. I don't know why I saw a '47 rather than a '57.

OU was still playing in the MVIAA back then, which wasn't very good. Like Toledo's streaks in the MAC, or Arizona State's streaks in the old Border Conference, or Penn State's streaks as an independent, many a long winning streak was started in crap conferences that had not yet achieved prominence.
