There is no way a Basketball team can be successful when your 2 starting guards cannot stop dribble penetration. Especially without rim protector on the floor. That is a historical fact. Smart and Cam are two of the worst defensive guards I think we have ever had. Unless they are on fire offensively we will continue to lose to teams that are our equal in talent.

WW is bent “over the proverbial barrel” and stuck with NBA-focused guards. You are exactly right about “poor defensive play”, they play when they WANT and to suit their own whims!!!

I can't agree more and I'll tell you. This team isn't fun to watch anymore at this point of the season! Truly sad because I really thought this team could end up being special. They still can but I just don't see that happening. They seem completely lost as a group!

Not being receptive to coaching or poor defensive coaching are certainly problems. But the fact that intense defense is a prideful thing...... It makes you wonder why they can't individually be dialed in. I know the team watches tape And there is no way Cam or anyone else could look at their defensive effort and think he is doing his team or himself any favors. I mean, these guys are trying to get into the league. Cam is trying to be a lottery pick And he can't be bothered to dig his heels into the court and get nasty
