I'm not worried about passing yards given up when the opponent is throwing it over 60 times in a game because it means we have shut down the running game, have a big lead, and will force multiple turnovers.
Do you think Arkansas, Alabama, or Florida are planning on throwing it 65 times when we play?

You do realize they were told to stay in their passing lanes, right?
In an attempt to knock down passes at the los This dramatically limited anything other than straight forward pass rush without stunts, twists, spin moves etc.
I respectfully disagree, I saw plenty of stunts. They just weren't getting there.
When Ferguson batted the ball down, he was doing what he was coached to do. If you have no chance of getting there, try to bat the ball down. But attempting to bat the ball down is not option #1. Preferably, you collapse the pocket or beat the blockers to hit the QB. The 4-man rush wasn't effective no matter how you spin it.

How do you give up 400+ yards passing to a Big East opponent and expect to win the SEC West?
You need to understand that numbers and stats can be VERY misleading....dam near every punt and kick off WV had to drive the length of the field to score a td...LSU's dfence done their job...
BTW...
Any offense that has dam near 90 passing attempts, will have big numbers against anybody..
