LSU could buy 10 Jugs machines for 90% less than a GA costs (amortized)

10 Jugs machines would cost about $30,000 (3K each) and Jugs last 10 years. A graduate assistant makes over $30,000/year - that's $300,000 in 10 years.

And Jugs are not just for WR's. - LB's, DL, Corners, and Safteies have upped their INTs significantly with 10 minutes a day on the Jugs.

if LSUs WRs did only 50 reps a day (most pro WRs do 100 to 200 - in-season and off-season), their efficiency would skyrocket.

So, for your argument to work then you’re saying LSU doesn’t currently have Juggs machines nor do they do reps on them.

Both are patently false. Dumb thread.

They likely have one or two, but there is ZERO evidence that the WR's are getting many effective reps with them.

And multiple machines need to be available every day of the off-season.

2 or 3 QB's would throw their arms out trying to get 10 WRs 100 or 200 reps a day.

So, again, for your argument to work then the LACK of Juggs machines is the issue.

Are you really suggesting that the players would be doing many more Juggs reps, but are unable to because the machines just are not available?

That’s fricking stupid. Our receivers sucked this year, but not because we lack ample Juggs machines.

Last year, the Ohio State WR's (as a unanimous group), committed to 10,000 Jugs reps each in the off-season. That had never been done before at OSU. And the improvement is off the charts.

Pro tip: Calling people "stupid" NEVER makes you look the least bit brighter.

I'm all for jugs.

BUT, the drops are mostly a mental thing, not a jugs-repairable thing.

Then you should be arguing that LSU receivers need more Juggs reps, not making the weird argument that they aren’t doing it because they don’t have enough machines, which is false.

There are about 10 different catches. Each must be practiced every day to be mastered. Sure, a brain fart can happen, but not nearly as often as a lack of confidence in their technique.

ALL virtuoso skills must be practiced every day to reach and maintain elite technique and confidence.

It's becoming almost a daily occurrence. It's a bit annoying.

Not really. Blaming it on a couple coaches who are out of touch with basic WR practice techniques

Would you like to tell us how you know exactly what goes on at practice, and during off-season workouts?

I don't know, but I'm not the one posting claiming that I do.

Well we've got 2 WR coaches and no QB coaches, so perhaps we should shore up that QB hole before we buy Jug machines.
