I say true. Losing to 2 average at best teams, one at home in the last game of the season with blown 4th and 10.

I think that LSU was far and away the best team, but we were EXTREMELY lucky to have so many things go our way.

we should have been undefeated. Piss poor play in the first half against Arkansas cost us. That game was lost in the first half, not OT.

Certainly, the defense did in their performance over 6 OT periods.

it's impossible to choke if you win the national title

I think us being conservative really costed us in the both games. We could have crushed both of those teams early, but we let em off the hook.

Flynn's shitty play in the first half against Arkansas contributed as well...

Losing to UK (although we should wrapped up that game in the 3rd qtr) was at least reasonable, given the emotional UF game the week before. But the loss to Arky was inexcusable. It wasn't as if they played out their arse or anything. We just flat sucked with everything on the line.

didn't they have 2 turnovers in our territory and we overthrew 2 wide open touchdowns?

I'll say it right now, the offense is just as much to blame as the D in that game. The offense completely shite the bed in the 1st half and should have put the game away.

Same thing with the UK game. The int in that game and dropped pass were on the offense. Also, the illegal forward pass that would have basically ended the game in OT

Yeah, but that's not really a choke though. It's more just starting sluggish and crappily against weaker teams on your schedule.

If we had not gone to the title game, it would have made the aftermaths of 94 Auburn and 05 Tennessee seem upbeat by comparison.

Bashing a national title team. May be a new low for the rant. Congrats.

starting sluggish and playing crappy in your last home game of the season, with a NC on the line is a part of the choke IMO

maybe so, but it has legs. Why does everyone act like Miles did such a great coaching job in 07 when, IMO, did a shitty job

LSU choked in 2007

If we had not won the National Championship, you could certainly say we "choked." You could say we choked against Kentucky or choked against Arkansas, but we didn't "choke in 2007," as you suggested. We were saved that in the end, more things went our way than didn't.
