It would be pretty cool to go into the game playin them with their old DC (Tenuta) if Miles hires him.

actually Tenuta is a bit of a one trick pony. Granted his trick tends to work 80-90% of the time. But if you play a team with a very good o-line or a team with a smart QB, they will eat up the D.

It was the problem GT had when he was there, granted we didn't have the talent at DB to man up on most of the WRs we faced, but when we would play BC they would stop every blitz and just march up and down the field with short passes, and Tenuta wouldn't make and adjustments.

But granted LSU's DBs are significantly better than GT's are, and it could work leaving them on an island b/c LSU's rush will get to the QB more than GT's would, but if that isn't the case then you're screwed.

JJ and JL will show up, the seniors that lost on senior day have something to prove to finish out the year on a good note, and if all you can do is name one play where the ball hit the foot of the Troy player to make it luck about winning the Troy game, then you probably left in the 2nd qtr as well, obviously you didnt stay for the whole game........

Also, don't forget his D's were usually on the field a long time b/c you had the Reggie Ball experiment. They were a tired D around the end of the year.

Yeah, actually I say that with confidence. I think the problem is scheme. LSU is lost b/c their d coaches don't know what the hell they're doing. With a proper DC, GT wouldn't stand a chance in this game, but as it stands, I still think GT wins.

Personally, I hate this match up b/c I can't root for both LSU and GT this postseason, a win for GT would be bigger for the program than a loss for LSU would hurt the program, also it would make it significantly more likely for a replacement of DC(s) if GT is able to run for 400 on LSU, which in my opinion is best for LSU in the long run, and LSU's only chance for making a title run in the next few years.

sigh ... I don't think I could ever forget the Reggie Ball years. ... although sadly enough he would be the perfect QB to run CPJ's 3O, although Nesbitt isn't too shabby

Why didn't they prove it on Senior Day? or against Arky?

I didn't say that made it luck. But it certainly doesn't quality as hard nosed football. Bottom line, like I said, we were down 28 pts to a team in a mid major conference at home. I didn't go to the game...I'm sure that makes me a bad fan. But for what it's worth, I never quit watching.

Look, you want to predict LSU is going to win, more power to you...hell I hope you're right. But to suggest that anyone who disagrees doesn't have a point?

That doesn't make any sense. Can you explain how we will win after watching this year.

it is not hard to scheme for the option.

we need to have tyson and alem starting at DE. Nevis and RJF at DT. Beckwith and Sheppard at LB. Peterson and Hawkins at CB. McCray, Coleman, and Jones at safety.

The option is not hard to prepare for. It just takes constant practice. We have almost a month to do it. They are very young on both sides of the ball. I think we score at least 40.

Definitely we have a scheme problem. However, there have many cases where our DBs just flat out got beaten...see the Arky game. Not to mention, none of them tackle worth shite. Those things bother me more than the scheme because the scheme can eventually be corrected. (by the right people of course) Things like tackling and getting burned worry me because I don't know how easily that gets fixed once a guy gets to the college level.

charles scott and jj open up the passing game, Ga tech wont contain jj and the play action will chew up the GA tech D, our front line will stop the running game of GA and force them to pass and our secondary will step up and force turnovers.....lsu wins....next

Honestly, I don't think JJ will run rampant over GT. Our d-line is playing great and based on their performance they are probably one of the best d-lines in the country this year (preseason #2 behind LSU) and Morgan Burnett (our safety) is tied for first in the country with interceptions (8)

And UF lost to Ole Miss and Bama beat Ole Miss, therefore, UF will lose to Bama right????

We can do this all night.

It proves nothing.

frick all these no faith motherfrickers on the rant, all they do is fricking hate on lsu and the coaches, players and play calling. if all these motherfrickers were so good, then why the frick arent they on the sidelines, reality says shite, doesnt mean shite, it is a matter of who shows up on gameday, and IMO it is LSU, i dont ever say LSU will lose, if it happens frick it, it happens, if we when hell yeah, i dont play the negativity game or the "im an e-hero and will look at stats and statistics, if that were the case we should have lost to bama by 40, frick all the bandwagon and negative lsu fricks out there...frick em all.

acc is weak....next, not the SEC

ACC 6-4 against SEC this year...so you cannot rip on it too much. Florida and Alabama had to win 3 of those 10 games for the SEC.

Isn't Ole Miss the third best team in the SEC this year? They beat Florida...but could not beat Wake Forest who finished 6th in the ACC.

Vanderbilt is going bowling for the SEC...but lowly Duke beat them...and Duke has only won one ACC game in three seasons. Vandy also lost to Wake Forest. It is a good thing Vanderbilt played their SEC schedule or they would not have been bowl eligible!

...and we all know the Clemson blew out South Carolina...and then GT took care of UGA and Miss St. The Miss. St. did not even require our starting QB...we played the backup who is a skinny true freshman whose only other offers out of high school was MTSU and Air Force.

Granted...ACC has its issues...I agree with you. But the SEC is weaker than any year I can remember in awhile. There is a lot of parity.

vanderbilt, south carolina, and miss st., wow tough competition there, that is the SEC's strongest, to bad this has been the first year in a long time for vandy to make it to a bowl, south carolina goes frequently but cant beat the big teams, and miss st. well its miss st., who is in the top 2 bowls of the bcs right now, bama and florida, who was there last year, lsu and ga, this year the sec is still strong and will always be, you cannot go undeafeated hardly ever in the SEC, AU did it 3 years ago and got screwed out of the title, how is the SEC weaker than usual now, tell me.....
