I dont know a damn thing about Tiger baseball except that we are tradionally a big hitting team, and always win our regionals (Lets just ignore that one year) and are like 0-4, 0-5 in Super regionals away from home and 2-0 in SR in Baton Rouge. (Or close to it.) Hence, we are one of college baseballs best home teams and we will be at home all through the run to Omaha, and will be a top 4 seed, and have won one SEC Tournament Championship and ONE SEC crown in the last two years and probably back to back trips to Omaha. To a dumbass to me, that seems like a pretty damn good coaching job, so with that said I say congrats to Coach Mainieri, his staff and players on a job well done, thus far.....on to the rantards STFU.

Hence, it looks to me

Football fans and bandwagon fans all come aboard for winners (LSUbasketball 2006). Then they show their ignorance often. Many of them feel a midweek loss to Tulane warrants some major lashing and chicken littleing.

I love all of my friends who say "we" when talking about LSU. They not only have been fans for fewer than 10 years, but they have no affilation with the university. Yes, I take offense to it. It's hard to resepct anyone who becomes a fan only when times are great.

Also, if you are 30 or older and cannot refer back to the 1990's in any sport and are unable to connect the present with a very recent past, then you are bandwagon all the way. That irritates me, also. That shows that you began supporting a university in its golden age and you weren't interested prior to.

C'mon. These are all pretty weak comments but in no way indicative of the LSU baseball fanbase as a whole. LSU baseball easily one of the most knowledgable fanbases I've seen in my 33 years.

No. Just because baseball fans tailgate like crazy and applaud the opponent for making a great defensive play does NOT make them knowledgable.
