Like i said though, darker times are on the horizon. You have to be careful what you wish for as a college fb fan.

My very first post about this said being bad affects recruiting not the fans. We have yet to be bad so our recruiting has not suffered. Why do you keep putting words in my mouth? Just comprehend.
And if you don't think Ole miss and State are in good recruiting grounds your are dumb. Mississippi produces the 2nd most NFL talent per capita, it is next to the LA which is #1. AL and GA are always fertile and have a few players to be picked just like LA. The city of Memphis might as well be in the state of Mississippi. Orgeron even showed there was talent left from the big boys to get up there but you have to produce.
First of all, we have been mediocre the last two years. Hasn't hurt us. Look at the SEC record and stop worrying about our ability to beat LA Tech and bolster our record to nine wins. That plays no role in public perception. So with the last two years, we've still killed it.
Second, MS is a great state for talent. But if you really want to discuss the merits of why MSU and OM are situated badly regarding the recruiting front, I'll happily oblige in another thread. Just start one.

I'm glad to see the AD publicly say what I've been saying all week. The role of fans INSIDE THE STADIUM is to support OUR team and intimidate the OTHER team, not our own.
Come here and help Chicken through a bad economy by bitching here or go on talk radio and go preach to the choir. Those are the proper public forums for voicing your displeasure with the coaches. Or write to the AD and Board of Supervisors directly. Call into or attend the Coaches show. There are many better ways to voice your displeasure than making an arse of yourself on national television.

Miles is in fact losing "his" fanbase, not the rest of us, but the ones that are left that support him. DandyDon is one of the biggest supporters of Miles and one of the biggest positgiers there are and this is what he had to say the other day, lets take a look....

in my opinion Coach Miles has made matters worse than they have to be by some of the things he has said and done. For example, Coach Miles said last week that Michael Ford would see playing time, but he did not play a single down. I see no good reason why Ford could not have played a series or two in place of Alfred Blue who is a very good player. Miles also lost a lot of respect from fans when it appeared that he told Jarrett Lee he would enter the game and then called him back after he was 10 yards on the field. Then later he played Lee for one series with about five minutes remaining and ran two straight ahead handoff before calling one safety-valve pass. I have always been a supporter of Les Miles, and I continue to be, but his statements and actions lately have made it more difficult.

The problem is that the non-booers want to group them all together.
eta: The problem for the sake of the argument.
But they all want change regardless.

stop worrying about our ability to beat LA Tech
Why worry?
Did you see the way JL completely owned a 3-6 La. Tech team? Can you spell D-O-M-I-N-A-T-I-O-N?
I just don't understand how Miles didn't see how awesome JL was against La. Tech and immediately announce he would be the starting QB forever more. One more example of how Miles is a complete moron.

A.) An offense that cannot move the ball, waste 5 star talent, and shows no signs of improving or wanting to improve.
B.) A fanbase that boos a shitty offense rather that be players or coaches.
We had one of the worst offenses in the league last year. We also had one of the best recruiting classes.

KAPPA SWIG IS A MORON,....sell my ticket cuz I don't like the direction the program is going?
Ok I don't like the direction my country is going so I will renounce my citizenship,....you are a tard. I will vote next election and campaign for new leadership,...and I can not like were my country is going and still be patriotic and love her. That is exactly why it is so frustrating because I love her and can't stop MILES from destroying it. He is stupid and stubborn, worst combo, so are you.
I will keep supporting and keep judging and wanting Miles replaced

I agree with your sarcasm. Lee showed nothing last year in his start against Tech.

Well we have ten posts with a new account and obviously this guy is going to be hellbent on being the biggest jackass in the stadium. Why? Because he can do what he wants because he's a man and he pays money for a product and thinks he has a tangible effect on helping oust out coach, even if it is at the behest of diminishing our program.

They also booed JL in '09 during the La. Tech game.
Not 365 days later, JL draws wild cheers whenever he sets one toe on the field.

Of course to accurately draw any data from this, you would have to single out offensive players at the skill positions and begin with the 2011 class due to the fact that the early stages of recruiting starts years in advance.

Nobody is saying that people can be upset with the state of the offense or criticize the coaches. We all agree on that. We just don't agree on how our actions in the stadium may have a negative affect on the program.
What happens on the field is going to happen, whether we voice our displeasure by booing or not. The only thing it accomplishes is having recruits not want to come here IMO. Recruits are brought in for big games all the time to enjoy the spectacle that is Tiger Stadium. When we start losing that, we start losing a competitive advantage we have over other universities. I just don't see why we can't be vocal supporters during the game, and criticize after.

Wow. care to tell me how else I should use the items I purchase? Since you know, you seem to want to tell me HOW I should do things with the money I spend.
FAIL.

So the fact that we are killing it this year in recruiting doesn't change your opinion?

DING DING DING! You have just admitted we have not reached bad. And if you think just the conference record matter to recruits lets just stop talking. Getting to 9 wins puts us in the Cap One Bowl. The #1 non-BCS bowl for SEC teams. That's the kind of things recruits see on New Year's Day compared to being in Shreveport in Dec. or at home where no one sees you. Yea I know we look liked shite that day but the recruits saw a chance to play on TV in a big bowl game with in a shout of the BCS.
And I know about the the academic issues in the state of Miss that bog down recruiting but the prospects that are available get take away by other schools cause they can compete. We will just leave that since you got the idea with A&M and UCLA.

That our crap offense isn't hurting us in recruiting.
