Simple solution. Hope UT rebuilds into a Bama-Buster, like they often were back in the day.

I don't think that solution will be simple for Tennessee to do at all. Tennessee has a very limited recruiting base. They depend a good bit on landing out of state guys which they simply are not getting in this new period of SEC football ruling the BCS. Fla,. Ga., USC, and even Vandy have a stronger appeal to HS players in that area now than the Vols.

This BS bout rivalry games within the SEC being so important is just that....BS. That's just an excuse. West teams and East teams have no desire to see Fla. and LSU stop playing each yr cause its best for them. That's the bottom line.

The only fair way to do the schedule is to play 2 different east teams each yr till you have played them all, but since when has SEC in conference scheduling had anything to do with fairness in the last decade!

Tradition doesn't seem to be that big of a thing for the SEC when LSU wanted to play night home games...and yes, I know bout TV wants.

Great, another scheduling bitch fest. All of these complaints are based on the notion that the current state of the SEC is status quo. Florida will forever be great and Tennessee will forever be terrible. History does not bear this out. Just think of all the peaks and valleys that Florida has had in the last decade.

All that being said, the point of the thread is not whether scheduling is unfair. It is unfair. The point is that the OP thought that moving to the Big12 would be a reasonable solution. It is not. The Big12 would mean less money and less exposure for LSU. Further, the primacy of Texas in the Big12 makes the SEC's preference for Bama seem negligible.

Texas A&M, as and tradition honoring group as there is, gave up all of its Big12/Big8 traditions to get out from under Texas' shadow.

LSU would not be in UT's shadow as the Tigers would regularly whip their arse ...

Because that's made a difference for Oklahoma? Let me see if I can order the Sooner Network from Cox.

They say ignorance is bliss. The Big 12 is not our home.
