Funny soundbite, but if he wins more than 10 games this year he can talk about the "ocean" all he wants to.

a football coaches thoughts should be about football and not oil in the gulf or some such thing. The season is about to start so I'm glad he is focusing on football and obviously not on oil in the gulf. BTW it does affect more than just Louisiana coast and if it were to keep flowing could affect the whole ocean. At least he sees the big picture.

Les Miles was hired to coach football & win games, not give his views on political topics! You all are making too much of this--Let's hope he focuses on the upcoming season and worry about what he does with clock management late in games, not on what he thinks of the current political topics!

I do enjoy the fact that, in another Les bashing session, apparently its easy to overlook Mr. Pimping himself, Nick Saban.

I'm glad I decided to actually listen to the sound bite, as usual the negaTigers have created a mountain out of a mole hill.

For what its worth, I think ole' Nick's post-game comments in 2007 are a lot worse. For the negaTigers who have forgotten here's a recap:

quote:

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama fans aren't the only ones treating the Louisiana-Monroe loss as a monumental event.

Coach Nick Saban described the humbling defeat in almost apocalyptic terms Monday, mentioning the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and Pearl Harbor in talking about how his team must rebound like America did from a "catastrophic event."

"Changes in history usually occur after some kind of catastrophic event," Saban said. "It may be 9/11, which sort of changed the spirit of America relative to catastrophic events. Pearl Harbor kind of got us ready for World War II, and that was a catastrophic event."

Les: either take a position on matters and speak clearly about your opinion or pass on the interview.... It's simple...

This shite is embarrassing

Artfully spoken by the guy who names himself after the King of making a mountain out of molehills.

I think you missed the reference:
