Don't be surprised if your KIA is on cinder blocks when you walk out of your trailer to go to the work in the morning

Answer the question. You saw ZERO problem with being behind 31-3 to TROY AT HOME in the 3rd quarter????

troy didn't score a point in the 4th quarter in 2008, not true in 2004. more problems in 2004

What about the 31 they scored before the 4th????? And the 3 LSU could only muster???? NO PROBLEMS WITH THAT???? REMEMBER we are talking about a team LSU should have beaten badly. And before you go there, 2004 team was NOT down 31-3 in the 3rd.

Fair enough, I really expected the team overall to be better than in 08

I didn;t and honestly don't expect this one to be any different from the last two.

first game gave me a bit of heartburn. I really thought the offense would be okay after the UW game, so I was not prepared for how anemic it ended up being throughout the season.

Third quarter of the Udub game told me exactly what to expect the rest of the season, and it held true. LSU made zero offensive adjustments to start the third, and this held all season long. Virtually the same coaching staff this year.

I am not going in with high expectations and I doubt I will be disappointed.

Wow. Do you realize a Kia is transportation, right? So someone who owes the bank more than their annual income for a fricking car is superior to someone who goes for value?

No wonder some of you people are predicting LSU WILL win the SEC west. Perception is certainly in the eye of the beholder, and some people are much more grounded than others.

I'm in the winning or losing camp but as you see, some of our brethren would preder the subjective. As in we won but looked bad, ie Washington win.

I think you and I are in total agreement on this point. I admit that some of the concerns (The Magnolia Meltdown) and some patterns are quite concerning, but ANY time we beat a big league team (like Washington), I do not care how we look ultimately. To put it another way, I want to look good if we lose, but I would rather win ugly than lose pretty.

quote:

I fully understand that looking bad will bite you in the end but a W is a W just ask 2009 Bammer. Blocked FG with a penalty against a bad UT team, SEC office help with PP non pick etc.

And winning pretty has its place, too. Winning pretty is nothing to be scoffed at - the win over VT was as important as any other factor in getting us into the big game in 2007.

But - if win a mere "9" games (seriously, some Rantards see that as unacceptable), then what do you tell the next coach? "Win 61 games in 6 years or your arse is fired, fired, fired!"

That sucked. I was waiting for you to bring that up. AGAIN. I guess YOU see NO problem with being behind a TEAM like Troy 31-3 in the 3rd AT HOME. GEE I wonder why this TEAM is gonna SUCK this year. If you see no problem with this, then maybe LES doesn't.

We took 60 minutes (and I mean ALL 60 minutes) to "beat" Kentucky in 2002.

I own an '88 burnt yellow yugo myself, so I have to envy his Kia. not understanding what that has to do with the 2008 troy being a better team than their 2004 team.
