re: Les Miles being treated unfairly?

Coach Miles is a fine person and family man. However when you make 3.8 Mill the pressure and expectations come with the job. Hopefully he gets us moving in the right direction where we once again are playing for SEC West and Conf Title. If not he will move on and we will move forward as well.

is it too late to send him back to michigan? a great coaching staff? good recruiting...but we can't keep them! i guess after we finish 4th in the west this year we might consider changing up a few things....

I like Les Miles and think he's a good coach. He's not perfect and he's not above criticism but if you could define unfairly as those treating him as if he has absolutely no football knowledge then yeah he's treated unfairly.
If he doesn't win enough and we move on to another coach then i'll be fine with that but i don't think we've reached that point.

OF COURSE, Miles is not being treated fairly but when you're paid $4 mill annually, armchair quarterbacking goes with the turf. All Miles has to do is win the West and he'll be back on top with the fans. His problem is compounded by the fact that his biggest competition to do this is Saban. Once Saban leaves Bama, whomever winds up coaching LSU in the future will have an easier time of it. Maybe not a lot, but easier. JUST WIN, BABY. And all this crap goes away!!!

25 fairweather dummies on a board with nothing better to do in their life than to bitch at 51-15 don't match up to many LSU fans, retard.
And we wonder why Louisisana gets laughed at.

lead paragraph:
I remember (even before winning the BCS) rejoicing at the idea of him leaving when we played Tennessee.
Personally, I like him - in a way you like George Bush. He means well.
But we are poorly prepared week in and week out. Our talent bails us out over and over again. Underachievement is one of the most frustrating things in the world.
It will take a 5 - 8 season for some people to realize this. Positigers will look around and wonder what happened. It's been happening for a long time.

I think most fans would settle for some consistency.
I'd hate to concede losing to FLA and Bama, but if we played up to our potential each week, most fans would be happy about it. If we look good against UNC, Tenn and Auburn and beat the hell out of La Tech and Miss State (while only losing to 2 arguably better teams) I'd be thrilled.

Another day of hating on LSU, Parnell? You're no LSU fan, that's for sure.

The only problems I have with the Miles haters is when the can't acknowledge the good things he's done, and take it way past football.
Not to mention Saban never lost a game and beat everyone 1000 to -45.

Anyone who hopes LSU has a losing record this year just because they hate MIles and wants him fired is no LSU fan.

I don't think the anti-Miles crowd is only talking about wins & losses. Look at our SEC record over the past few years. Look at our performances over inferior teams. Program decline is my biggest concern - and when you're relying on luck, miracle come-backs and trick plays to beat inferior teams, you treading on thin ice.

hoping we do bad and thinking we could possibly do bad are 2 different things.
id love for les to prove me wrong and prove that 08 and last year were flukes but i just dont think they were.
