None of this changes the fact that you care more about Saban than about LSU.
This is just not true. Anyway. I think I have covered all I wanted to in this thread. Bottom Line to me is that I have NOT treated Miles unfairly, Just pointing out things that he needs to improve on to get LSU where it should be. A 10 win season would be awesome. I will give him SERIOUS PROPS!!!!!!

I know this is an emotional venue, I know that many wear their hearts on their sleeves but if we're dealing with facts I don't know how the ship will sink.
Can we just agree that Les has to earn his money this year or move on?
As I've said before, I'm way more worried about letting our AD pick a new coach than I am Les not being ready to win in Oxfart.

Seriously, you're still bitching about losses from 2007. Can't you be honest with yourself for a minute?

Yep, you'll talk about how Saban could have done better and expressing how upset you are that Miles isn't like Saban

I'm aware of image among our fans. Image is important for sure. That's always right under the surface of what I'm talking about. If Miles had the image of a hardass, perhaps similar Saban, he'd have more fan support, in my opinion, than he does regardless of results. There would be more authentic support for him.

I tell you what Rocket, Choctaw, and Jaydeaux.
I will continue to be skeptical up until the NC season opener.
But my promise to you is that if Miles fields a good looking, well prepared Tiger team- WIN OR LOSE - I will go back to being positive. But until he proves to me that he can do that, I remain, negatiger.

I am not a nega-tiger I am nega-miles at this point. But I agree that if Miles puts out a quality product I will eat some crow.

I can't disagree with this. What will be necessary to for him to "earn his money" in 2010? 9 Wins? 10 wins? SEC-CG appearance?
Or are you more in the "it's not just about winning or losing" camp?

A loss or series of losses that made you feel good about te direction of the program merely for the fact they "looked good" and were "prepared"?

I assume you mean he cannot lose any OOC games except UNC, WV and a bowl game. Likewise, he ought not lose to Miss. State or Vandy. SO, if we are good looking, well-prepared, yet go 2-6 in conference, AND lose to UNC and WV (but lose pretty -solid stats - comparable to the opponent, just one big play here and there) - ALL close losses. You will be fine with 4-8? (You said WIN or LOSE, not me.)
ETA - Fixed it.

Not really. He has done some dumb things. I just hope he doesn't repeat them......

Well, I doubt an LSU team that plays solid football will go anything close to 4-8. Solid football = 10 wins

"Solid" is 10 wins? What about 9?

All of you clowns should just STFU. Unless LSU has a LOSING season this fall CLM is not going anywhere. Is that clear enough for all of you fools?

Last year with playing solid football this team could have won 11 or 12. I agree with a couple of things I have seen in this thread, and Miles needs to get a tighter grip on the on field activity. Things occur in game 12 that occur in game one, and this shouldn't ever happen. Same penalties, delay of game, confusion, poor time management, personnel issues, and play selection. If Miles can orchestrate improvement in these areas, LSU will again be championship caliber.
But its all moot until the season begins. Either way there will be huge helpings of crow for many people in the LSU fanbase. Hope everyone making outlandish predictions remembers this.
