You mean happy. At least Les could score on Bama more than once every three years.

Didn’t say they have, but they sure weren’t getting any tougher by the year under Miles

Saban was plucking the best players out of Baton Rouge and Louisiana

He even scored in that one. Even beat him a few times.

That game was not a shut out. But ole Les is gone now if you haven’t noticed.

Let’s see if O can score on Saban this year.

Yea I agree the game shouldn’t have happened, but Miles lost the confidence of the fans (most of us anyway) on that night.

His preparation was lazy, arrogant, and he quit in the 3rd quarter.

I wasn’t a fan at all of the Orgeron hire. Still have my doubts.

I’ll give the guy credit for at least appearing to try and do something with the offense. Miles absolutely refused to and he became as predictable as the sunrise. That’s why he got fired and the only suitor he had was Kansas.

This. But there is an insecure portion of our fan base that just can’t let him go peacefully.

Have posted this many times before.

It’s a myth that Saban had some big new game plan and Miles did the same thing.

Both coaches played the same game they did in the GOTC. Why wouldn’t they? They were the two best teams that destroyed everyone and played each other to a virtual tie.

It would have been foolish to try to reinvent the wheel at that point.

The only difference was AJ completed passes and their special teams won the day instead of ours.

Another poster astutely pointed out that the difference in the game was McCarron’s progress.

Everyone always says Saban had a new game plan while Miles did the same thing as November. That isn’t true, it was the same game plan for both teams.

Alabama threw a ton in the first game but the difference on 1/9 was AJ placed perfect touch passes over defenders while in the first game they were incomplete or picked (Mo ).

We also couldn’t get the big turnover on special teams play that kept turning things our way in November.

I’ve always said the last second FG before the half was the turning point. We were going into half 6-0 but AJ hit a couple of quick throws and instead went up 9-0, then came out of halftime and did the same thing and in a matter of a few game minutes it went from 6-0 to 12-0, and that pretty much sealed the game on those two series.

Only a TM7 turnover or return could have made it a game again and eventually it was death by 1000 cuts.

I’ve said many times what someone else did earlier, Miles’ response about a rematch in the IMMEDIATE moment after the game was his biggest mistake (other than hiring O). But the question was absolute horseshite and so clearly designed to get the All SEC championship the media all wanted to finally get their CFP.

OKS and Stanford (not to mention Boise) were still undefeated at that point, OU, Oregon, Arkansas, Clemson, VTech, and Penn State all still had one loss in one of the more competitive years in CFB history and these assholes are talking about a rematch
