lsu quarterbacks really have it rough. free tuition, books, place to live. getting whatever classes you want and having a tutor get you through the class. free meals at a lot of restaraunts. people buying you drinks all the time. getting pretty much whatever girls you want. knowing you can get whatever job you want right out of college. stop acting like these players are little kids whose whole family just died. they're adults. if they can't handle a few fans getting upset with them, they aren't worth having on the team.

First of all, it's Veterans Day. Let's not overstate how rough life is for a 19 year old LSU. No matter how much the fanbase criticizes you, no one is shooting at you.
Second, I don't think anyone wants this guy to fail. Even his most vocal critics sincerely felt bad for him. The players have supported him, the coaches have supported him, and I didn't really here much booing directed at him on Saturday. I support him and want him to improve, and I think he's taken responsibility for his performance like a man.
All of that stated, you cannot honestly say that the lack of progress throughout the season is not a concern. Yes, there are other players that failed to execute. but no one failed to execute more than Lee on Saturday, and no one else's failure was a more prominant contributor to the loss.

I think alot of the BOO'S are directed at the coaching staff for not making a change. I have no doubt that Lee is our most prepared QB but he obviously has lost all confidence as would anyone is his position. Who cares if Jefferson isn't ready. Could he possibly do any worse? I am sure he can hand off and at least he is a run threat. Opposing LB'S just sit back and move with Lee's eyes because they know he won't run. Having a QB with the ability to run will open the middle up some because the LB'S will have to respect the run. Bottom line is we must try something new. The receivers are frustrated and Lee looks like he wants to vomit ever time he goes in the game. Tha kid is trying so hard to make a big play to get people off his arse he is forcing throws. Coaches need to step up. If they don't like Jefferson put in one of the ten "athlete" players we have on the schedule an die with the run. At least it will be a change.

Jarrett doesn't get a cut of that.
Free education, meals, room and books. When a player get money for food too, it is usually more than they need for food and that is how they get the ipods and other gadgets. Knew an athlete in college who played softball and the money she had leftover was ridiculous. So even though he does not get cash in hand he is getting a huge amount handed to him for playing. So an out of state student pays roughly 12,000 a year for tuition four years puts him at 48,000 he does not have to pay. 250.00 a semester on books. That is another 2,000 he is handed. Not sure his living situation in college but you get the point. I hate hearing that these kids are not paid because if you are a scholarship athlete you get a pretty nice ride through college. In addition to all the cloths you are given by the school and bowls if your team makes one. Athletes are always in nothing but LSU cloths and warmups. They may not have the cars, houses and expensive jewelry, but they get a place to stay, free food, free cloths, some drive scooters, some have extra money after buying food. It is a job, only instead of getting cash, you get your living free and an education if you play your cards right.

Lee's problem is getting hit. He is afraid.
He doesn't look afraid of getting hit to me. He looks afraid of making another mistake. He does freak out a little when pressured, but pressure isn't causing the ints. He thinks his arm is strong enough to get the ball to the receiver before the defensive backs can get to it. But he's playing in the SEC now and the d'backs here get to it much faster than they did in when he was in high school. He hasn't played enough at SEC speed to judge when it's safe to throw the ball.
In the second half of the game at Auburn he got into a rhythm that we haven't been able to get him back into.
The kid throws a great deep ball when given time. The best he has looked is throwing the deep ball to his left while keeping two tight ends in to block. I am talking about that play to Byrd that they got a td on against Auburn. This works when we are running the ball well and it sets up Dickson feigning a block and then going out into the flat or to the middle uncovered for first down yardage. The deep ball is safe since an int of it is like a punt. Run it on fist down after a run for a first down.
sorry for the rambling but I thought I needed to add my 2 cents.

I don't think that it was all of Lee's fault. I think we should give the off cordinator and the Head Coach most of the blame. Hell, Less dosn't have Sabans boy anymore. So he has to do it with his own boys now. Less will never be the coach we had with our first championship!!!!!!
