One week after not taking a snap in the most important game of his career, former LSU quarterback Jarrett Lee proved he could still play some football.

Lee played in the Casino Del Sol All Star Game in Tuscon, AZ and looked like a championship quarterback delivering crisp accurate passes time and again, throwing for two touchdown and no interceptions. Official stats were not given, however it appeared that Lee finished 12 of 17 for just under 200 yards.

LSU fans have wondered "what if" for the past week, after Lee failed to see the field in the BCS National Championship against Alabama. The Tigers lost 21-0 as the offense struggled to move the ball all night, gaining less than 100 total yards of offense.

Lee was accurate with the football in the All Star Game

gotta love the title.

"more reasons to be pissed at Les" woulda been better though.

He will be a mythical figure if he catches on with an NFL team

If he ever becomes a starter, they might build a statue of him right next to Shaq's

Meanwhile, Les continues to cement his perception as a doofus.

Despite the treatment by Miles, its hard to imagine Lee wanting to trade places withh JJ at this point. He is sitting pretty in his LSU legacy

he'll be mythical if he starts for an NFL team. I fully expect him to at least fight hard for a roster spot in camp/ preseason, if not be a backup next yr.

Can you imagine the difference in ovation for him and JJ, years from now, when the 2011 SEC champs are recognized at halftime of a game?

You are obsessed man. We all know JJ played terrible. Lee should have played but you are taking all this too far. From your threads about comparing lee to brees to constantly putting Jefferson down.

I'm happy for lee. I hope he makes an nfl roster. But this is getting out of hand.

hopefully they'll both get a lotta love. both contributed over these past 4 yrs, I hope the fans recognize that. also hope there's a few championships between now and then to ease the sting of last Monday.

Stay out of Lee threads. Your opinions have zero merit

I feel the same way about you. You are so emotionally invested in lee that it is hard to take you serious.

You can take Lee's play tonight serious

What no one will take serious from now on, is you. JJ hurt this team. You refused to recognize that. So let the Tiger nation celebrate with Lee, and quit acting like you care

You're going to place the entire blame on the shoulders of a 21 year old young man...wow you're simple minded.

Because I supported JJ as qb means I don't care? That is ridiculous logic. I'm on record as saying the best system was lee starting and JJ playing situational spot duty. But I supported the coaches in their personnel choices. I have also said twenty times since Monday that the coaches were wrong not to try lee. But apparently, you can't handle that.

Don't tell me what I care about. I damn sure care about every tiger. It's obvious you don't.

I'm hoping lee goes on and is successful.

This is exactly it. I feel like many folks wanted to see Jefferson take himself out of the game and tell Miles "hey, I'm just not cut out to play in the NC". Which no true competitor would ever do to themselves.

I did it vs Florida in an SEC Baseball Game...the guy that replaced me was my best friend, made two diving catches and hit a 3 run homerun to win the game...i didnt lose my starting job, my coach actually thanked me later on, said he was proud of me...I had struck out twice and made two really bad errors.....wound up making all-SEC the next year...dont give me that competitor shite, some days you got it some days you dont....I think JJ never had it...

I respect the fact that you did that and it worked out in the end. But, most athletes wouldn't pull that move during a game. The same goes for players who play thru injuries, you never want to take yourself away from the opportunity of making a play for your team.

I respect the fact that Lee is doing well now and putting himself in the position to possible make a roster at the NFL level. But as awhole...our fanbase needs to let the hatred for Jefferson go and move on. He did what he could and it didn't workout well...time to let the past go.
