Is Lil Sweet really a star player? He's a pretty good SS and pretty good college hitter and he's got speed, but I'm not sure he actually meets the star status

Fair enough. Maybe not a star....but as the leadoff hitter he is an integral part of the offense. If the 7 or 8 hole hitter was 0-10, nobody would be making as big a deal out of it.

If I remember correctly, Brad Wilson was in a slump when he got on base before Morris batted him home in '96.

Concur on putting him in the 9 hole.

Take a little pressure off.

Our hitters came out looking at pitches and being patient.

Got the lead and then returned to the same old weak AB's.

Duplantis has a great approach.

Just for the record.. Cresse's first and only other hit in the 2000 CWS came against... Florida State.

3rd team AA IMO doesn't equate to a star at LSU. I do think he's a good player, a key component and a leader for the team. I just don't consider him a star player. That's reserved for best player on the team or for exceptional talents.
