Because unless you have a reason that is rock solid and undisputable on why he should be fired with cause, you're going to end up in court. If you lose in court, its going to be even more expensive with having to pay his attorney fees and possibly a bad faith judgement.

And do you want other future coaching candidates to have the impression that if they're not winning enough games, not only will they get fired but that LSU will try to find any dubious reason possible to get out of paying a buyout?
