Kayshon has quit on LSU about as much as Ya Ya Tittle did in the 1947 Cotton Bowl 0-0 tie. The two-way QB and I were students so let's cut some slack on presumptions here.

I''d like to include here a black and white picture of Ya Ya on his knees, in anguish, at the end of the game, but I'm too old, too tired, and too unknowledgeable as how to do it, but some old timers on here may know of my picture recollection.

Thank you. If I had a great, great granddaughter I'm sure she could show me how to insert a pic. I saw no alternatives.

Mr. Savoy, glad you are continuing to post! I look forward to hearing any stories you may have from your time at LSU.

Well, in a sense, I was lucky as a freshman. The punter on the ‘47 team was Joe Nagata (check him out on Google) from my hometown, Eunice. I knew Joe and his parents, and I spent a great deal of time in ‘G” barracks with Joe where the football players then lived. Also spent far too much time in the Field House and stories abound about that place also.
Frankly it's the terrible attacks on expressed opinions on what I thought was a "rant" that has from its inception keep me away. Your indulgence is indeed a breath of fresh air.

I have been hearing stories about him my entire adult life. My mother-in-laws family is from Eunice and knew him and his family well. I have been told he was an amazing man and never got the accolades that many Tiger alums have received. His life story is indeed amazing!
