Every year many of us try to surmise from 3 games in the middle of Feb., what kind of season we will have. You're wasting your time! All we know tonight is all we knew Thursday...we have 2 elite arms and another group that could be upper echelon pitchers is they develop and stay healthy. We also knew Thursday that we would probably struggle early on offensively and that Hughes was going to start at short.
Nothing has changed and this team will likely peak late in the year. I'm not a big PM fan but I've learned not to get too frustrated early with his teams because, to his credit, he usually has them playing their best going into Hoover.

We aren't going to play much "small ball" this yr. and I'm good with that. This team is gonna hit plenty of HR's and this pitching staff likely won't need a ton of runs to win most games. I would run Henry/Hill out against anyone's top-2 including Vandy!

Imagine being the #1 program in the country and 2 recruiting classes to replace Hal Hughes and he is still starting

I agree but I also think the personal attacks(not you) on Hughes are misguided and uncalled for. What's the kid supposed to do? He's a light-hitting, above avg. SS that keeps getting his name written on the lineup card.

On point and we'll said which I guess means I have to downvote this. I keep getting things mixed up. Upvote the melting, sky is falling posts, and downvote all the people making sense. I'll get the hang of this rant thing eventually.
