AJ played for a very good team last year and they arent supposed to be as good this so we'll see how he does. Star played on a very bad HS team.
Star played for Lake Worth and his team went 7-4 last year and lost a bid for the district title in a tiebreaker. Not sure what that has to do with his talent level however if that is a very bad team, than what is Bama? As for the comment about St Paul's not going to be as good this year they won the 5A state championship this year and return all but 4 starters. Not quite sure who has been feeding you your info but they are wrong.
In regards to my comment, AJ has a much better arm and I think most scouts would tell you that AJ can make throws that most QB's (Star included) can't. Star became an overnight sensation after his JR year. He is elusive in the pocket, has a strong arm, and made some good decisions but AJ is on another level. He's no Russel Shepard though.

I was reading an ESPN article about how AJ performed at Elite 11, it said he looked strong fwiw. But it also said that his team won the ship last year but lost a bunch of players so more of the weight will be on AJ this year. It was just implying that we'll see how he does when he has to be the man.
WRT to Star, I guess Very bad was a poor choice of words, he played for an ok team I guess.

While I think JJ is going to be a phenomenal player, I think some people are taking the rest of the WR corps forgranted. Mike McCoy, Darius Hanks, Marquis Maze, Nikita Stover, and Earl Alexander are all dangerous. Throw in the fact that Bama will throw to its RB's and TE's now, and there are a lot of bodies to cover.
While there has been a lot of hype about replacing D.J. Hall, Matt Caddell, and Keith Brown, the WR area is one area where Bama has kind of "reloaded".
Marquis Maze is electrifying after the catch. Another "Prothro-like" player. He can make circus catches and turn them into big gains.

Yeah I agree, we are not weak at WR and Im not just talking about JJ. Im a expecting a big year from Mike McCoy, nothing but good news coming from practice about this guy.

I don't think we will keep Julio 4 years.

It is no secret that JJ has trouble with physical athletic corners.
Still waiting for the wr that has trouble with slow, weak corners.

Considering Jones was shut down in the AL-MS game by the nation's #2 CB for 2008, I'd say that = advantage Peterson and LSU.
