Yet, no one mentions this.

You do. And I think it's something that needs to be interjected into this argument.

We are playing mistake free football right now. Why change up anything we have going right now? Why put in a "mobile" quarterback? We don't NEED it.

And what does that prove? We don't need Lee for rushing TDs. It would be a bonus if he could get them, but the team has competent running backs and a QB that can throw the ball well. In those four games, Lee has more passing touchdowns than Jefferson had in his last four games. He has one less interception doing it too. That to me looks like he's getting the job done better.

Wrong. Did you know anything about A&M last year?

Their offense sucked until Tanneyhill took over, which was AFTER the Arkansas game.

I don't how much football you actually watch. Judging by your post, I'm guessing not a lot.

Anyway, going into the Arkansas game last season, Texas A&M's offense was averaging:

39.5 ppg
509.8 yards of offense per game
313.8 yards passing per game
196.0 yards rushing per game

Now, you could categorize that as a lot of things, but "sucking" wouldn't be one of them.

Post who they played, bud...let's see that.

Statistics are statistics, but if they are generated against shitty teams, they don't mean much.

I can't wait until you post someone like Rice or Sam Houston State, but since you know more than me about A&M and football in general, you should know who they played..

You rantards need to watch the Arky game again. That was one JJ's worst games of the season.

Incorrect.

Again, he was doing just fine in the first half (go back a page to look at the numbers). In the second half, we abandoned the middle of the field.

it can't be improvement. because gary was still the coach.

remember? our qbs couldn't improve under gary. thank god we got a new qb coach that got to work with our qbs for 3 months and gave them this huge turnaround.

What are JJ's stats from the first 4 games of last year? That is a more accurate comparison especially since Lee has played a tougher schedule in the first 4 games

Meh.

If you want an accurate comparison, compare their performances against the last three top 25 opponents.

I don't know what the numbers are.

I'm sorry. You said their offense was "sucking" going into the Arkansas game. Clearly that isn't the case.

And FWIW, the week before the Arkansas game, they played Oklahoma State who finished 11-2 and ranked #13 in the country.

They put up 535 yards of offense against them.

Ok, so now you're argument is that Texas A&M's offense didn't "suck" they just didn't play anyone (except OSU . . .where the put up over 500 yards of offense)?

Not a bad point. I just find it curious that only JJ's last 5 games were chosen? Why weren't his first four? Is it fair that Lee has had a much tougher road his first 4 games vs JJ. Anyway JJ is gonna play a lot so everyone might as well get over it.

Comparing first four to last four, Lee's road is a little tougher, but not by much

Alabama @ home
Ole Miss @ home
Arkansas away
Texas A&M neutral

versus

Oregon neutral
NWST @ home
Miss State away
WVU away

Where did you find the fumble stats? The site I found says he fumbled 8 times and only lost 2.

Because when defenses (specifically DTs, DEs, and LBs) have to account for Jefferson, LSU runs the ball better:

Jefferson Last Four Games Without Outlier

171 carries for 825 yards equals 4.82 yards per carry

Lee Last Four Games

172 carries for 684 yards equals 3.98 yards per carry

LSU gets almost a yard more per carry with Jefferson.

Speaking in present tense again. JJ hasn't done anything presently. Are you comparing this team to last and trying to make some kind of valid point? I think you are. You should be more intelligent than this.

JJ is doing nothing, presently.

If you revisit this in a couple of months using this years stats it may make more sense.

Oooops..
He did improve. He improved from his horrible performances in early 2010. He returned to his similar 2009 numbers.

He did well in 2009. He sucked in mid-early 2010. He improved in late 2010.

The offense still sucked under Crowton. It has vastly impoved on a number of fronts.

However, the intellectually dishonest will champion bullshite where ever they find it.

I think it has moved beyond this to the point they have convinced themselves that something that didn't happen actually did. FWIW, that wouldn't make them liars, just delusional.
