Throughout the whole season last year Coleman couldn't really shoot from deep either. He did have his games but overall he was average to below average from 3

Mickey is good but I don't think he's a 3. He already air balled a 17 footer and the announcers said that's not his game.

Coleman might have the size of a 2/3 but he's hardly that. Remember, outside of 1 SECT game his 3 point shooting was horrendous this last year.

The problem is, we have 3 top 100 guys who play the 4 and none that play the 3. I think Mickey has the best skill set to move to 3. We are gonna want to have our best players on the court and that is one way to do so.

If he played the 3, he wouldn't be taking a ton of shots from deep, but would slash to the basket, play tough defense, and be a total mismatch against teams who play sub 6'5" guys at the 3 (more than half of the SEC).

Thinking the same, dont have to be a deep threat to play the 3 in college. Plus, Mickey at least seems to have a solid mid-range game.

If Morgan improves from 3 then him, Hickey and Stringer will be our deep threats next year.

I've seen a couple of Mickeys games now, and I really think he could be starting next year at 3. I could easily see Martin coming off the bench, with JOB at 4 and Odo at 5. I will say that Martin will get 20+ minutes so it shouldn't matter if he starts or not. I could see Odo taking the Tuba position of starting the first 5 minutes before making way for the more athletic Martin.

Mickey gets another dunk for his 12th point.

Gets an offensive rebound and is fouled. Going to line. now has 12 points, 5 rebounds, 5/6 blocks and 3 assists

And Mickey shows what he could do at the 3 getting the easy post move while being guarded by a 6'2" player. Now has 16 points.

16 points on 5 of 7 shooting... Yes please.

And another block.

Martin can play the 3. He can handle the ball and shoot from the outside. He also has inside presence, which allows him to play the 4 as well. Him and Mickey can play on the floor a lot together and could be interchangeable.

Keep in mind this is high school where he's going up against kids much shorter than him. He wont be seeing 6'4/6'5 kids at PF in college

Okay. I understand that, but he gets max 15 minutes per game and that takes minutes away from top 20 player Martin, OR he can play some 3 and get 20-25 minutes and take minutes away from Coleman...

It's college ball, he and Martin can play in the post together and be effective. There's no true centers in college.

JOB stays in foul trouble anyway

Either way, it is gonna be a tough situation for CJJ to try and figure out how to give Odo, JOB, Mickey and Martin PT.
