McElroy was awful the first part of the year. Bama gained a ton of yards with few points to show for it. The scores of their games do not indicate the dominance. Bama is undefeated mainly due to their defense.

JJ is a good QB. As good a QB as LSU has had after we became relevant. Both Jamarcus and Flynn were very good, talented QBs with flaws. JJ is no different.

His stats may be the same as JJ's, but he has better coaching, and pocket presence.

+1.. I think the pocket presence will get better, coaching.. not so much

the coaching is there. When Crowton has something to work with, he's lethal. It's up to JJ to improve his pocket presence.

Completley agree, he needs to learn to step up in the pocket. I believe his apex ends at managing a game, but at the same time, dont start thinking Chris Garrett is the answer.

The difference is he knows how to win. He actually threw for a touchdown against UF.

But he threw 0 against South Carolina and Tennessee.

That is knowing how to win!

so he's the reason Tenn. missed 3 field goals?

Missed field goals happen, check out 2001 LSU Auburn, we would be 1 to 2 games better with Greg Mcelroy

Cody was the reason they "missed" two.

Nonetheless I don't see how you can say McElroy is better because JJ didn't throw a TD against UF when McElroy went 2 games in a row without a TD against weaker defenses.
