Joe Burrow's LSU single single and career stats.

Burrow needs 2534 passing yards to pass Hodson in career passing yards. 9115 to 6581
Needs 15 passing TD's to pass Hodson in his career. Hodson had 69 and Burrow is at 54 for his career.
Burrow needs 1743 yards to pass Hodson in total offensive yards. 8938 to 7195
Burrow needs 8 more total TD's to pass Hodson. 71 to 64
Burrow has every other record except for Total passing yards in a game and total yards in a game both to Davey
Davey had 528 passing yards and 540 total yards in the Bama game.

I just don't understand how he didn't over talent his way into better #'s in the prior season.
He is throwing the ball 21% points higher than last year, and he's got the same group out there he's throwing it to. It just amazes me the amount of success he's been able to have in an off-season. Speaks volumes to the work ethic not only of himself, but the WR's who got up at 6am and worked out with him.

it was the scheme.
Joe needs to be in the shotgun. He had a small hand in helping Brady tailor this offense to his skill set.

He didn’t excel in numbers last year because of a few things.

The career passing yards will be a tall order so that is possible but unlikely. We’d need to go to the NC with him averaging 507/game.
He’ll hold every other record though AND a Heisman. And did it in less time than our other great Tiger QBs. Plus Burrow’s 2019 season records will obliterate the previous ones and may never be touched.

Its really the only Explanation...besides hard work.
Bit he was in the shotgun a bunch last year, and the accuracy wasn't anything like this on those plays
