you should probably e-mail this post to Miles. It is very important information that he may not be aware of. It is a very good situation for the LSU staff to know that we have fans with this kind of keen insight.

You should be a DC! Obviously that has been overlooked and I'm honored that we get to share this insight with you.
Force LSU to throw the ball. Genius!!

Call Les and let him know. Maybe its not to late and he can make sure he plays the QB that gives us the best shot at a passing game

First we won last year because of our defense we had Nevis pp and ks all in the NFL . We were 112th in the nation in passing. We will be good on defense but we must improve on offense!

Mett would force other teams out of the box.

Hearing the positive and the negative ...

ALL TALK IS JUST TALK AND bullshite

Fact is

... JJ IS OUTTA TIME ... THIS IS IT ... LAST SEASON ... HE'S GOTTA IMPROVE & DELIVER OR HIS arse WILL BE ON THE PINE AND THEY'LL RUN WITH LEE AND METT

QUESTION IS ... WHAT QB EFFICIENCY RATING WILL BE NEEDED TO LEAD LSU TO ATLANTA & NOLA

I"M GUESSING A QB RATING OF 130 - 135
OFFENSE IN THE TOP HALF ... #55 - 60

NOT AT THE BOTTOM

By the WV game, we'll have a good barometer for the season with a JJ-led offense.

I see three possible scenarios at the end of September

THE UGLY (Next to impossible):
If JJs stats & performance are in the toilet by then and LSU's hopes of title are likely a bust and we have lost two games, Miles will cut bait and go with Lee and Gett Mett his time

THE BAD AGAIN(POSSIBLE, BUT NOT TOO LIKELY):
If JJs stats and performance are about the same and it's cost LSU only one game (likely Oregon or MSU or WV) and LSU paasing is again ranked above 75 in the BOTTOM QUARTER OF CFB, then Miles will likely grind it out again with JJ at the helm, with the others seeing small roles

THE GOOD (MOST LIKELY TO HAPPEN):
If JJs stats and performance are improved ... this online with the last half of 2010 and LSU passing is ranked ANYWHERE near 50th or better then Miles will let others see only small roles in mop up ... AND WE'RE GOING TO THE SHIP, BRO

at least let Mett play a game where the coverages arent Vanilla, and the d line can actually hit the qb before you annoint him, THE SAVIOR.

mett led his team to the juco nc game.
and was supposed to start for GA and looked better then both lee and jj in the spring game and was rated higher coming out of HS.

7th ward Cam Newton led his team to the juco NC to.

112th In the nation in passing how much worse could we be?

Pretty good chance every coach on staff makes more than you and actually get paid for their football knowledge.

I'm sure they will go with who gives them the best chance to win. Winning= Contract extension / raises. It isn't rocket science.

Rest now Grasshopper. You've had a long day

Feliciana did you see jj play and jl how much worse could we be ?

And you have no idea what I make or what I do for a living it's common when you don't have a logical response to make a personel attack .

And by the way some real idiots have been head coaches I bet Curley hallman made more then you,but that doesn't make him an inteligent coach
or as inteligent as you!

While I am no JJ fan and I know a good bit of fans who arent either mainly due to the want to see a competent qb on the field. I do believe that most LSU fans even the ones who arent huge JJ fans want him to do well because if he can mature and become just an average qb it could lead to a very special season for LSU. Based on the fact that he will be the starter at least to open the season the easiest way for LSU to win big is to have JJ actually walk the walk.

However I dont believe even the most ardent JJ fan can seriously say based on his performance to date that they can guarantee he will be a competent SEC starting qb. I think we will know that by the West Va game because I believe a big part of the concern wih JJ is the ability to have a good game repeatedly not like last year 1 good 7 very bad then 2 weeks off and a very good against Bama then 1 week off and back to JJ vs ULM and then very good against Ole Miss then so so versus Arky and 6 weeks off and good against A&M.

I and many I know are very concerned that JJ will play well against Oregon due to the long prep time and then revert to usual JJ and struggle for a stretch of back to back games and then pull out a good one then back to the roller coaster that is JJ which will definitely cost LSU some games.

So while the hope is that JJ has legitimately improved significantly the concern and I feel a valid one is that when the game lights come on and 92K fill the stadium he reverts to same old JJ.

I do believe that is a very legitimate concern and dont think people shoudl be criticized for pointing that out!

At least let JJ prove that he can not go another 7 games without a single touchdown pass. Neither one of them have proven jack squat, and the fact that JJ's average performance versus A&M seemd great goes to show how terrible he was last year. Not to mention his lovely spring game performance was worse than last years... Mett is the only one of the three that has proven himself at any level above highschool football in all actuality.
