Have any of y'all ever travelled with Jim's group to a game?

If so, how was the experience?

I won a trip to the '09 Ole miss game with this guy. It was nice all transportation and travel, hotel, game tix. Only downfall is that is was mainly an older crowd of rich LSU fans. Just not the typical fans that i'm used to partying with.

Went on his train trip to Alabama this year. Had a good time. He saved my arse because he was able to get me tickets at the last minute for $200 each.

Took the train to Tuscaloosa in 09. It was ok. The worst part is the time it takes to get from one place to the other. Had to meet at Drusillas at 5:30 to take a bus to New Orleans then wait an hour and a half for the train to leave. Then it was a seven and a half hour train ride then back on a bus to the hotel.

I could have driven there in 5 hours.

A group of us went on the Alabama train trip 2 years ago. Jim's a great host, his trips are well put together.

Went to Auburn game several years ago with him, agreed with the older crowd sentiment but we hung out with them and they were all great. Plus we were parked right by other large LSU groups with younger crowds as well.

Travel, hotel, bus transportation to and from game, etc., was all first class and it definitely takes stress out of doing it yourself.

Did the charter flight/ticket/hotel package to Atl and everything went smooth. Already signed up for the NC package. Gonna be awesome.

The point of this wasn't to compare a car trip w/a
carrier (plane, train, bus).Obviously there are advantages to both. Car is probably cheaper. With the other you have to make transfers. When you fly into Atlanta/Dallas/ect. you don't hop off the plane & jump on another 15 minutes later. I guess it was rough riding that bus back to the hotel. If you can drive to Tuscaloosa in 5 hours you are not prepping your car or stopping for food, gas or to stretch. You might be on the side of the road w/the Miss. or Bama state police while the others are enjoying a toddy on the train.

I've taken small group trips to Omaha twice w/Jim. Everything was handled professionally and we had a great time. Looks like all the other posters agree w/me. Last but not least. I doubt if the trip the OP was referring to is a Tuscaloosa trip. We're not going back there for 2 years. Have a nice day! No, really , have a nice day!

He has a bus ride and ticket for BCSNC from Baton Rouge for $1450.00. Not bad.
