Why does anyone feel this is needed? Can't he just blend into the background, keep his head low and prepare for UF?

my response is after the fact, and i think he should have followed your advice based on what he actually said. anyway

If you don't notice a difference in efficiency and productivity in this years and last years offense then your blind. We are actually running more than 50 plays a game this year....and I'm willing to bet that as long as JL is QB we won't have any of those DUH clock management issues that we've had in the past.

Some posters think any positive statement about the offense sans JJ is blasphemy and bring up any stat that shows that Lee isn't performing that well this season.

Said posters also believe that anyone giving props to Lee this season is a racist hack to can't stand JJ coming onto the field. They also think that people who post positive comments about Lee really mean negative statements about JJ.

LSU is ranked 101st as a team in "Passing Offense."

Jarrett Lee is ranked 95th out of 100 in "Passing" and "Passing Yards per Game."

Just saying.

NCAA Quarterback Ratings
Jarrett Lee 2011 : 140.5 : ranked 51st
Jordan Jefferson 2010 : 114.7 : ranked 100th

...and I like Jordan Jefferson. Glad he is back on the team.

This is how I feel. Lee can actually keep drives going when it's 3rd & 6+. Jefferson has his place in the gameplan but it should only be to come in like RP did in '07 and run the option.

Did you hear this:

"My name is Jermain and I'm on welfare. JJ should be the starter".

I don't care if the change in offensive coaching/philosophy has been the only difference this season.

Anyone who says the offense hasn't looked better so far this year is absolutely delusional.

It isn't about JJ/Lee. I initially brought up the ppg in response to someone saying that "Lee's offense" isn't that much better.

As much as it can be fact, it is a fact that the offense is better this season. Saying that doesn't mean it is all about Lee, either.

The majority of welfare recipients are white. Check the statistics.

You would think someone who saw his fellow teammates support him through his ordeal would have more respect.

Say about THEIR record, and the TEAM's accomplishments.

What a joke, Miles would be best served keeping him from the media.
You mean like how he complimented the Lee's accomplishments:
quote:

"I've been supporting Jarrett throughout the whole year," he said. "He's done a great job on the field, led the troops to victory. That's what we're trained to do, and he has been doing a great job of that."

I was disappointed that JJ didn't offer some sort of apology and "copped out" to a ...

"Well, everybody else on the team was there" so I didn't need to apologize ... excuse he used for no apology.

At least be a man and a leader and apologize to your coaches and the university on behalf of the entire team ... apologize to the guys like Les Miles, etc who have busted their asses to make sure that you have everything you possibly need to become the best ballplayer and human being that you can be ... show some leadership there

Damn, I feel better after writing that ... just had to get it out ... I was raised that when you screw up, you cowboy up and take the consequences and apologize to those who you made suffer.

If you think LSU coaches did not suffer over this matter and did not deserve an apology, then I'm fullocrap!

Since the unity council came out after the incident and apologized, I thought it would have been appropriate for JJ to do the same in the public eye.

But once again, if the team is glad to have him back, then all of this is just scenery.

What apology? What exactly do you want him to apologize for? If he's innocent, do you want him to admit guilt to make you feel better?

For breaking team rules (curfew) which resulted in the whole matter ... this creating heartache and untold stress on his coaches and those in the University who have busted their arses to keep LSU's Program on the straight and narrow

To be fair, Jarrett Lee's rating last year was 119. I'm sure much of the improvement is due to Kragthorpe's influence. Jordan Jefferson will definitely play in critical spots, and I hope he as improved as well. It will make LSU that much stronger.

Those stats are skewed since only 12% of the U.S.'s population is black. 72% is white so of course the numbers are going to more for white people. However, it's ridiculous how many black folks of that 12% are on welfare.

frick, I've taken the bait.

Well said...this is exactly what I was saying earlier..he is not a man, and he doesn't take responsibility for anything on or off of the field. After every sack or incomplete pass the look on JJ's face is priceless.

We had created an identity on offense...The first time I saw the short side option on saturday I threw up.

I want to get excited about the rest of the year but now I continually have this nauseating feeling in my stomach.

That's fine. It is just a bullshite assessment to say that the offense isn't much better this year, which is what I first responded to.

Absolutely... I originally posted the stats comparing JL 2011 to JJ 2010. Lee played too little last year to even qualify for ranking in the QB rating category.
