No picks ...that is "Well" IMO opinion.
Less than 50% completion.
Less than 100 yards.
Sounds worse than mediocre.
If you want to stay humble . . .

He had 4 drops of very catchable balls.
Add 3 of those and 70 yards and his numbers are very respectable.
But he is a good kid and deserves this shot.
What other QB would hang around this long if he didn't love LSU?
I am 100% behind Lee if he keeps managing the games and winning.

you are being obtuse.

of course he isn't. did he say anything like that in the interview?

no... he praised the WR's for making catches.

Most of his passes were catcable. But they were defensed by Oregon.

You don't get to count incompletions as completions just because the other team knocked them away after, or at the same time as, an LSU receiver touched them.

Those types of numbers (and worse) were acceptable to you last season, and against weaker competition in many cases.

Now you are going to attribute a comment to him that was made by someone on a message board?

I am ready to cut the kid some slack and last year i longed for any QB with just average accuracy and arm to deliver the ball to get the defenses from stacking the line. I think not being a little nervous would be either lying, cockey, or crazy. Do not know about the rest of you but i would be somewhat apprehensive speaking on national TV to millions in the audience now at my age even less when i was 19

i'll repeat this since you didn't hear it the last time:

if the ball hits you in the HANDS (both of them) you HAVE to catch it.

at that point, it's not on the QB. It's on the receiver.

funny, didn't see you say the same thing about jefferson last year when he had 4 total yards against mcneese.

or 30 passing yards against tennessee

This time I am right and I have to go with that.

That's utterly retarded. It's not expected of the QB to hit the WR perfectly everytime he has some separation.

On OBJ's TD incompletion/Boone's two incompletions, the ball wasn't placed well and allowed the DB to get back into the play. Boone's first one was influenced because Ford is brutal at pass blocking, but that more or less influences my point that there is far too many variables to account for in each given play to have a definite fall guy.

I appreciated your defense of Jefferson, but Lee is the QB now, and you need to offer him the same support or else expose yourself as a huge fricking hypocrite.
