Ok, they have: Cabrera,Gardner,Swisher,Hinkse, Damon, who are all in the big leagues and Austin Jackson in the minors. Trading for Mitchell doesnt really make sense.

Last AB...fought off 4 pitches 2 curves that had him fooled went back up the middle for single to lead off the 8th. Had a heck of a catch in 7th that was ruled a drop after he was showing the ball, big argument. He definately was best player on the field.

Honestly IMO, I dont think Mitchell is as good or going to be as good as you guys think he is.
ETA: I've seen guys much better in college not pan out.

He is going to have a better career than the guys you mentioned with the exception of Damon. J Mitch is going to be a major league player for years

He will be in the majors when he's 22.

Nature of the beast. I have seen worse players than him make it.

Which is why trading for him doesnt make a whole lot of sense. You dont know what you're going to get.

I know what they would get. They need to trade away Austin Jackson anyway.

I have to admit, early in the year I wasnt drinking the J Mitch koolaid. But, as the year went on, and into the post season, he got better and the imense talent and unlimited potential was obvious. I think he will be a solid big leaguer if he continues to work hard and improve.

If you know anything about advising talent, you should haven known that Mitchell was going to be a 1st or 2nd round pick at the beginning of the year.

I didnt say I was a major league scout as many of you are. Just didnt see first round until later in the year. He seemed to make huge strides with facing leftys.

J Mitch would have been a first round pick out of HS if not for football

So what exactly would you want to trade for him? How much would you be willing to give up? Do you know how often 1st round picks end up doing basically nothing in the bigs?
