Wow - Carl - Awesome article. One of your best, and I've read many of your articles through the years. You have been blessed with an innate ability to touch people on many levels: factual, controversial, intellectual and (of course) emotional.

After we win this CWS, this will be our 6th baseball National Championship (will tie us with Texas for 2nd place overall). Then we'll win our 3rd BCS football National Championship in the last 7 years. This is my fervent hope.

Father's Day is all about dreaming!!!!

Carl - thanks again for your appropo "spot on" article.

Carl,

You don't have to apologize for getting personal. Robots can type, but people write stories. And your story about Father's Day is the best of the best.

I will watch tonight's game with a fervor.

But tomorrow, I'm attending the only baseball event that is more important to me, my 6 and 8 year old girls in their first baseball practice. And years later I will attend my son's practice; today he sleeps (and kicks!) in the womb of the most beautiful woman I have ever met.

What good is baseball if you can't share it? I feel very lucky to be able to share it with my kids this Father's Day week.

Thanks to you for sharing your stories with us. Enjoy the CWS and God bless.

Chris
