How about Miami in TS in the Hurricane game?

LSU vs Miami in 1988 was in November, not the opening game. I was one of about 100 fans that stayed until the end, in the rain. We could bring umbrellas into the stadium back then.

And unlike some years, say Miami in 2018 that began the year highly rated but turned out to suck, that Oregon team was a top 10 team at year's end.

I personally unlike most like to begin the year with a tough opponent, the team tends to be engaged in early season preparation, and you find out your weaknesses early.

The argument I see here most is that Kelly can't get us ready for the first game, so quit doing it.

Well, we've not had a team as talented as that 2011 since 2019....I think this is without question Kelly's most talented team, let's see what he can do this year.
