No stakes were on the line when he lost the last regular season game, Tiger Tap. If only every year we can have 50 other teams lose at the very end so we can back into the title game. Well, thats assuming Miles could even lose only 2 games in a season again which looks doubtful.
brah.....50 teams really brah? Bummer for you brah.

Wrong. McElroy has stats dating back to 2007.
How many games did he START (try reading the post) before 2009?

Take your "2 year record" bullshite elsewhere.
The reason you and some others get pissed off at the "2 year record bullshite" is precisely because it is NOT bullshite and you know it.
I've never understood why LSU fans are so personally invested in not hurting the feelings of some multi-millionaire who is doing a mediocre job for elite pay.

Don't care. He has been a College QB for 4 years.
Here's something just for Houston Dale fans like you, that seek .500 lifetime SEC play:

Tell me you are not really wanting to compare that with a guy who was pressed into action like 4 months after walking onto the LSU campus

he was on campus for 4 months before this season?
Perhaps you just post the whole comment and stop trying to be cute/funny or whatever.
And yes, JJ was on campus bout 4 months before he was asked to step in at Arkansas in 08 and the Bama QB was on campus 3 yrs before he was asked to step in at the beginning of this season, but then hopefully you knew that and you are just playing obtuse.

If you would honestly take Houston Nutt over Miles than you need some serious medical attention.

On the day he was fired, Larry Coker probably had a better record at Miami than 90% of coaches had at whatever school they were at
If you believe Coker was fired for any reason other than the fact he lost control of his team and the teams on the field actions embarrassed the school, I have some La. beach front property to sell you.
The only reason you dislike the "51-14 argument" is cause it's a fact and you only have conjecture, and some of that pretty wild, to back up your "argument."
Just chill and enjoy the New Year Day bowl game cause nothing you or I say is going to impact anything anyway.

the point is that nobody is even talking about JJ vs Arkansas last year. The guy was comparing JJ's experience coming into THIS season, which included 2 starts, 70+ pass attempts and a hell of a lot longer than 4 months on campus. Why are you comparing JJ vs Arkansas in 2008 to anything?

JJ started running the show at LSU (08) as a true FR and the Bama QB started running the show (09) as a RS Jr. My point being that is a major difference when it comes to experience in the program/system and maturity and therefore going solely by games starts is only half of the story.
And if you look at the list of examples the guy provided us, I believe they all had much more time in the program when each of them were thrown into the fire of SEC play than the 4 mons or yr and 4 months afforded JJ.
If we must knock JJ, then let's do so by comparing him to QBs with the same amount of program/system OJT as him and not with guys 3 or more yrs into a system.
All I am saying.

I would put Houston Nutt in front of him.

You 51 and 14'ers are so blinded in your allegiance to this mediocre coach, it is downright scary. Do you just tune it at the end of the game to check the score, or do you actually watch the games. Assuming some of you are watching, how can you be happy with what you saw at Ole Miss? How can you be ok with the end of the first half against Georgia? Honestly, I just don't get it. How can you not see what so many others can so plainly decipher? Miles has become a national joke after the Ole Miss debacle, and yet all you can see is 51 and 14. Its as if you don't think anyone else could have done what Les has done here. My goodness!

What's both scary and laughable is anyone seeing 51-14 in the SEC, 2 west titles, a national title, 3 top 5 finishes, a current top 13 ranking, and a current New Year Day bowl as equating to "mediocre coach".

Well, if you think it's so easy then tell us the LSU coaches who have done better?
Posted on 12/27/09 at 5:20 pm to Lonnie4LSU
The point is not who has done better in the past, it is who could have done better with all of what Miles inherited. Honestly, this is a long list in my eyes. He walked into a very sweet spot. He needed only to maintain the program. He hasn't done it. In fact, he has begun to look very foolish. Just do a youtube search and see what pops up. Its downright scary.

Hey man, I was just saying that Miles may be the second best coach on the SEC west behind Houston Nutt. And yes I remember Larry Coker had a damn fine record at the U before he was released.

Where would you rank Saban? Or are you thinking he will leave Bama after a NC?

It's called sarcasm. I'm assuming you know what that is, or do I need to cut and paste a definition for you?

You're just a garden variety Nega & Sabanista. Cut & paste would work well for you. You're boring really.
