That’s not fun. Having to haul ice chests and generators blocks. Having to get to campus earlier and earlier for the lesser games, nevermind the insanity of a major conference matchup.
Idk. I agree and disagree with his post. Yeah, LSU tailgating has picked up in the years. Even since i was there till right before i left (2005-2018). But it's grown more popular so of course more people will come meaning less parking, needing to plan ahead to get good spots, and dealing with loads of people.
Takes a different level of commitment when it comes to setting up and running a tailgate. And it does take work. The reward is finding a good spot, having fun with your fellow tigers (or whoever), and taking in the moment.

If LSU wants to reverse the trend of game attendance, making those games an easier trip might be a good place to start.
LSU is trying. They allow tailgaters to park in that newish parking garage now for one. Yeah, the prices are insane sadly but it is an option. Other than that, parking is going to be how it is.
Another thing is, there's tons of parking on campus that is free. By the Law building, ECA, UREC, the Chase by The Venue, and WCA.
I think the biggest thing in terms of attendance is the cost of going to an LSU game. Every season was offered a chance at season tickets (As many others) and even in the new area before construction finished. But with a $2500 "donation" and $500 ticket charge (roughly $3000 overall give or take) for maybe 5-6 home games...nah. Might as well tailgate it or watch at walkons. Least they serve beer
Wasn't nearly that expensive when my mom went to LSU (granted that was the 70's). But even after then, it wasn't that expensive. Think if anything, that needs to change
