Before the game, I was presently surprised at how many of the Rebel fans made it to campus. Walking around, I saw a lot of interaction on what was a great day to tailgate. Several OM fans stopped by our tailgate as they were kids of ppl I tailgate with, etc. All in all, a very nice day and plenty of sights to enjoy.
They were looking for ideas to improve hoity toity Grove.

In 1987 we played them in Jackson at this horseshoe stadium and we thumped them.
Halloween Night
Late in the game someone lit a small rebel flag on fire and all the LSU fans were cheering.
A few seconds later someone has a full size rebel flag in flames, waiving it around.
Suddenly there's a separation in the stadium between our fans and theirs and it was about to get ugly.
Luckily cooler heads prevailed and there wasn't a huge brawl.
In an unrelated incident, a fan fell out of the stands and died.
Crazy night, I could tell a few more stories

The women of Mississippi are known for being very pretty. I think that at one time the women of Mississippi were considered to be beautiful women in the entire nation. I never met or saw an ugly female from Mississippi. I've met average looking women but I never met an ugly one. Mississippi is known for having a abundance of pretty women.

Sit in 406. This guy was lucky he didn’t get his azzz kicked. Very cocky standing in front of many LSU fans and taunting. 1 LSU fan several rows back was screaming at him “You’re going to die tonight!” Didn’t see him near the end of the 4th quarter

We had a lot of great OM fans stop by our tailgate. No problems, they were heartbroken after the game though

I wish the Ole Miss game would go back to Halloween Night/Week. I have seen and been part of several experiences over the years both pre and post game.

Ole Miss fans are some of the most arrogant fans you will find
Don't confuse arrogance with butt hurt
they've never won anything
Georgia fans, I witnessed some trash talking by UGA students to old Alabama fans while at the gate to get in for the game
"how many rings did you have while at Alabama?" lady in her 50s said, I don't think we won any back then"
UGA student, "I've got 2 and counting and we're coming for revenge tonight"
then someone in the crowd said, "but we've got 18 national titles and you have 3 total why don't you just mind your manners?"

No fan base will ever beat Clemson fans for arrogance, although Bama fans come mighty close.

quote:They were surprisingly very pleasant to be around. We had a group of eight in front of us. Obviously they cheered when UCLA did well, but they were very polite and complimented the atmosphere quite heavily.
You should’ve seen how many UCLA fans made it to that game a few weeks ago. It was very surprising.
I've been to four LSU vs Old Piss games, and this one was the first time ever that I didn't experience rude Rebels fans.
