Regarding Sam - agree with previous post - they take game one.
Game 2 against LSU - get in the pitchers head and they crater. The louder and more abuse they get the worse they pitch. Top 2 pitchers have not been on this big a stage before.
Not deep in the bullpen.
So - GET LOUD LSU!!!!!

UL people... do you have a real scouting report on your team? All I hear is strong hitting..weak pitching.. how about defense? Any guys that can play at the next level?

Our shortstop is the Sun Belt Conference Freshmen of the year and he has a few errors this year but the dude makes some sick plays. He has pro level talent... may translate to MLB down the road as a 2B though.
Catcher Mike Strentz will be drafted mainly for his bat... isn't the best defensive catcher you've ever seen but he gets the job done defensively... could prob end up being an OF in the big leagues.
OF Dex Kjerstand and Seth Harrison, both of these guys the scouts love right now. Both have wheels and can hit for average and power.
Jace Conrad is as solid as they come at 2B... and he also plays some 1B when Compton isn't in the lineup. Compton is a very nice defensive 1B and has recently gotten hot at the plate.
3B Tyler Girouard can hit with the best of them, and has a great glove and arm as well.
Overall our strong point is up the middle. SS, 2B, and CF are the best defensive positions on the team for us and they sure up the middle of the field quite nicely. That's the basic run down of our position players this season.

Video of SS Blake Trahan nice diving double play
This was a real nice play Trahan had in the Sun Belt Tourny... worth a look if you enjoy good baseball talent.

Thanks for the nice summary Cajun8
And nice play by your SS. I looked up his numbers and his fielding % rivals Bregman's. Impressive.
I'm really hoping Saturday at 7pm happens for both schools... Atmosphere should be electric!

No prob man, and I agree... I just really want the matchup of our Ace vs. your Ace... I love college baseball and the atmosphere is second to none at the Box. It will be packed.

ROBICHAUX, AUSTIN. 3.2 ERA and 80 strikeouts in 101 innings of work
Nola, Aaron 1.94 ERA and 105 strikeouts in 102 innings of work

No doubt, Nola is the better pitcher. But Austin has some good stuff as well. If we were to get this matchup, Austin will bring it. He's a competitor.
