I have a friend who is a Johnny come lately LSU fan. ALl he does is post on his facebook about the gaame all week and he talks a good game. When LSU wasn't playing well last week vs UW, he went outside and smoked and drank and talked. Now, because it's raining, he's going to stay at home.

Rain schmain. This reminds me of 2006 when the Fresno State game was drenched and me and 25,000 other LSU fans watched Craig Davis return a punt and Trindin run wild.

I can understand going home for young children to prevent getting sick, but it's the opener. Rain USUALLY happens in Death Valley for a home opener:

1998 Arkansas State
1999 San Jose State
2001 Tulane
2002 The Citadel
2003 ULM
2004 Oregon State
2007 VA Tech (not much at all)
2008 App State had to be moved to 10 am bc of a hurricane

You'd think we'd be used to this by now. Maybe it's the fact that many fans are still out of the loop about Vandy and don't realize they're better than 3-4 other teams in the SEC now (instead of being #12). Rain plus the common moronic perception of Vanderbilt = many staying at home. TO each his own, but there are only 6 home games after tomorrow.
