HERE IS MY POINT. His way, his philosophy on offense. ON the advocate website if you wish to examine it:
One last thing Miles was asked is who will be calling the plays on offense now that his close friend Cameron is coordinator.
“The offensive coordinator. He calls the plays every year,” Miles said. “But I promise you there’s a guy (um, Miles) on the headphones who says, ‘Don’t do that one,’ or, ‘OK, that’s good.’
“But I don’t call a play,” Miles said before breaking into that Miles grin.
As expected, when it comes to the offense, Miles still reigns supreme.

Ok you don't seem to grasp the concept of an OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR. He controls the offense. The DC controls the defense. The Special Teams Coach controls the special teams. The Head Coach hires those guys to do their job. If they don't do their job well in a reasonable amount of time then they get fired and he hires someone who will do that job well. The head coach is also in charge of overall game strategy, recruiting, and managing the entire football staff.
Yes Les Miles has made mistakes in the past. He stayed with Gary Crowton 2 too many seasons. He stuck with Jordan Jefferson too long also. He had some clock management issues several years back. He's also had some bad luck, like player injuries, and hiring an OC that was diagnosed with a terminal illness a short time later. But CLM has learned from all of those mistakes. That's what makes him the amazing coach that he is today. He was a great coach even with those previously mentioned flaws, but now he's learned from those mistakes and is Les Miles 9.0! But haters like you are always going to bitch and moan about every single thing that has gone wrong in the past instesd of paying attention to what kind of coach he is today. That's ok, I want to hear what you have to say at the end of this season.

Maybe you don't understand this simple fact, but head coaches always reign supreme.
85-21, 49-19 is a fricking outstanding reign.

I work in the gulf of mexico on drilling rigs. I have to work around Alabama fans, A&M fans, Florida fans, and the previously mentioned Miles haters posing as LSU fans. I also come across a lot of haters here on TD.

What do you say when they tell you they have a better coach than you do?

I remind them of his 8-5 season at LSU, his horrific time in miami, and his wonderful loss to UL Monroe. I also point out that CLM has a better record in the SEC and that time will only tell who has more championships, because we're not even close to done.

What's I hear gumps say all the time is," Saban left him a Ferrari and he turned it into a corvette!"
While in fact Miles inherited a 4 loss team and won the west the very next year. Gumps forget that Saban lost Atleast 3 games every year but once at LSU.

Three loss as I recall, but third place in the west and out of the west title race in October.
Must have been a wrecked Ferrari.

Iowa made 4 losses. Remember that last play debacle? Saban threw Ronnie prude under the bus after.

Yep, but I remember it as being number three for the year.
What an egg to lay as you leave for your dream job that he turned into a nightmare for Miami.
