Nothing like subtle sarcasm. Nevertheless, the fact remains that CLM made inexplicable and maybe inexcusable decisions regarding QB last year. It was the weak link in a great team. While the other wins are important, they were all but negated by the monolithic, monotonous and failed game plan. Moreover, there was no effort to adjust what the offense was doing.

And yes, as head coach he does owe everyone an explanation for that joke of a game that he submitted. He owes the players, his staff, the alumni, the fans and anyone else who had an interest in that game why such a brilliant coach showed up brain dead to the game of his life.

Be honest. Looking at Mr. Jefferson's career at LSU, how can one conclude that he was anything other than an also-ran QB and that is being generous.

That said, much of the appetite for closure could be sated if LSU wins it all this year, including a first rate pummeling of Satan and the gumps.
