I have noticed that the Miles bashers have an amazing ability to see into the future.

No, Choctaw. You Miles supporters are suffering from short-term memory loss back to January of 2008, so you just THINK that anything after that is the future. For the rest of us, two more years have passed, and a lot has changed.

will there be people longing for miles 5 years after he leaves the program like many do with Saban?

No way. Nick rebuilt the program and also in his time, created a new athletic building. Les did a good job keeping the program at the top for a while but has dwindled it.

No, he'll win 8 or 9 games a season until we get so mired in mediocrity like we were with Charlie Mac, that people will just stop caring. I think he'll be looked upon kind of like Charlie Mac, a beloved old uncle that tried hard but just didn't have what it takes, he was out of his league. A boy among men.

Yep. That's exactly what will happen if he stays long enough. The question is whether we'll put up with it for 18 years like we did with Mac. The stakes are higher now.

Why? Are you saying because their younger, talented players will step into the holes created by graduation and early entry.

But yet LSU's will not?

So far, with disturbing frequency, this has been the case.

What if C'est Bon would have stayed and LSu would have gotten Michael Oher and Colt McCoy.
Yea, that would have happened

When Saban took over the program it wasn’t the program it nearly is today. Saban deserves all the credit for building up the program. Miles did okay since he took over, but he is just not nearly at the same level as Saban. Not to mention that the program has also took an unnecessary hit in the past couple of seasons due to sub par poor coaching and also poor coaching decisions. In any event, if Miles had been hired in 2000 instead of Saban, the program wouldn’t nearly be where it is at today and not only that, but we never would have won two MNC. In fact, if Saban had not preceded Miles, we wouldn’t even have won one in 2007, even though Miles got lucky as hell to even be in that game. Anyway, Miles is an okay enough guy but he is not a great coach, and there is no way he is even close to being on the same level as Saban.

Now I have no doubt that the Miles supporters will label me a Saban freak, but who else is there to compare him too?
