If Lamar Jackson wins MVP and the SuperBowl would that affect Jayden’s draft stock?

Lamar is the obvious comp for Jayden and media even says Jayden is further developed as a passer coming out of college.

I think if Lamar wins it all then GMs will salivate to get the next Lamar and ultimately draft Jayden #1 over Williams.

I would think that if Lamar wins it all and wins the MVP award that would be more indicative of his development in the several years he has been a pro quarterback. I don't think that Jayden can get much higher than he already is, and if he does it's going to be because a GM / team think that he's a better fit for their offense than it is because he's comparable to Lamar Jackson.

I could see it having a minimal effect, if any. Mainly because the past few years reflects the NFL's transition to a more mobile QB than the traditional QBs. Pretty much every starting QB has at least some type of running ability. Basically, the numbers on running qbs and pure pocket passers has flipped over the past few years to where now QBs are more mobile in general.

Example:
group 1 (QBs of 2000s) brady, mannings, flaco, rivers, etc. + McNabb, Vick
group 2: (QBs today) Murray, Jackson, Hurts, Fields, Watson + Burrow, Cousins, Stafford, Goff.

Found this article from a couple months that talks about the value of mobile QB increasing. Seems pretty accurate IMO.

It depends who's picking.

Chicago has a decision at #1. Do they stick with Fields and trade what would be a valuable asset in the No.1 pick? Or do they take a QB? If they decide to take a QB the decision appears to be between 3 guys: Williams, Daniels, Maye. If something doesn't work out, generally you try to go in a different direction. The Bears probably see Daniels most like Fields in terms of skillset when comparing the three potential options. So do they shy away from Daniels in order to go with a QB with a different skillset? That same line of thinking applies with Maye. The Bears got burned taking Trubisky. They probably see Maye as the same type of QB (with the added bonus that they both played at the same school). So do they say "we tried this type of QB...didn't work. We then tried a different type of QB...also didn't work. Maybe lets try a different type (Williams)?

However, that line of thinking may be Different with Washington on the clock. They are having to exist in the same beltway area as Jackson who (in your scenario is winning the MVP and Super Bowl). They may be thinking "we tried the UNC QB with a skillset more similar to Maye's. Didn't work. Let's go get the guy who is most like the QB having great success 40 miles up the road

Lamar's success is already impacting Daniels' draft status.
