Sometimes it shouldn’t be overthought. Matt House’s scheme doesn’t fit LSU and that’s ok. Teams miss on coaches all the time. House is a miss. Cut bait move on and let’s turn this defense around within the near future.

House is teaching a more complex version of his defense to a much younger defense than last year. LSU had Baskerville at LB which is why Perkins could just rush the passer. We had guys on DL/Edge that had started 2+ years at LSU and a top guy in Wingo from the portal. Our safeties were either multi year starters at LSU or Arkansas, and our corners were big bodied 5th year seniors, one who was at a power 5 school and another playing at a good Louisiana school (who produces NFL talent somewhere almost yearly).


This is ultimately the problem. I don't know how much they can do now, but the best thing is that if we beat Mizzu, we don't have to worry about another good passing offense until TAMU and even then i think we can handle Max Johnson. Going into the bye week, we need to fix this crap ASAP!
