they were killing us with the ground the game. Absolutely dominated us up front. We had a chance to win the game, and that is something that I give Miles credit for, but we would have stolen that win. There was no doubt who the better team was leaving that field.

Every elite program goes through peaks and valleys, it's rare to maintain dominance like that for long periods.

i fully expect LSU to get back to the elite level. We've had the chances to blow out teams (UF 2005, Bama 2007, Auburn 2006, UK 2006, even UF 2006). but we find a way to let the teams back into the game. We always battle and have fight though, which is something I love about Miles. His teams never panic.

I think Miles' realizes the last 2 years were not good enough for our talent (see the changes). We're going to be more physical on the Oline due to size alone. I don't think Miles should be fired, but I want to see the passion on O and D again, and we saw a little more against Arkansas.

I really think that if we improve our running game, JJ will stive in a playaction, prostyle offense. We just need to pick prostyle or spread and stick to it.

When a razor-thin overtime win at home over a 7-5 team is what people point to as a sign of IMPROVEMENT, the program has fallen and can't get up (with this coach, anyway).

That's complete bullshite. Until Jefferson and Peterson and Scott went down, we were in control of that game. It wasn't the dominance that Bama displayed last week against UF, but that was our game to lose until those 3 key injuries occurred.

It's ridiculous for people that hate miles and make a point stating, "we could have easily been 7-5 or 6-6"

Amen!!

LSU lead the #1 team in the nation into the 4th and was a TD away from them with 3 mins to go and playing the final period w/o 4 key starters on O, but Bama rolled us and we will never compete with them again.

It's like, what game did some people watch for all this pants wetting over Bama? Yes, the are good and yes Nick is a good coach, but that doesn't mean they will never lose another SEC game.

You gotta be a "glass 1/2 full" kind of guy instead of "1/2" empty....I do believe that LSU will be ALOT better next year. I like the recent additions of Wilson and Gonzales. Need a actual QB coach and find a great OL coach and we will be fine......Here's what is concerning me. Tiger Stadium has changed. WTF is the deal with fans leaving by the half ( Ark game comes to mind). Have we gotten that SPOILED???...In my mind, TS is one of if not the most magical places in all of CF and I cherish each game that I get to go to. If the people that have tickets now are "the corporate" types that like using TS as a business entertainment, etc., then we need to see what we can do to get "regular Joe's" like me that would buy season tickets to get the place back like it is suppose to be. I went to the Fla game and I thought I was at a funeral. I went to the USC game two yrs ago ( afternoon game by the way) and I had to put my hands over my ears several times.

they were basically running for 6 ypc in the 2nd half against us. Jefferson was playing great, but do you honestly think that Bama was not the better team in that game?

we were stealing the game from them. They were outplaying us.

We could not stop them in the 2nd half. They were running the same plays over and over again and we couldn't stop them. They imposed their will on us that game. Ingram ran for over 100 yards in the 2nd half alone

when did I say that? Bama was running the ball on us in the 2nd half at ease. We couldn't stop them.

i don't think I ever said that. They are playing in the NC for a reason. They are a great team and they wore us out. They dominated the 4th quarter

Last time I checked Alabama beat the crap out of Florida; Can't you people get a grip on the fact that we didn't have the best team in the SEC this year. Wait, I believe we finished 3rd! O,and all that talent is the reason we put a total of 4 players on the 1st and 2nd team All SEC. You Miles haters are going to be a pretty miserable lot cause I don't think he's going anywhere.

We played them as close as anybody this year; We got beat up physically because they are a physical team. In any case losing is not an option for some of our fans and neither is winning unless we blow out the opponent. No way these negaters were around when we just hoped we could grace the top ten much less win a NC! Go back and look at the last 50 years. I don't believe we finished in the top ten more than a half dozen times until this decade.

Like I said, what game did you watch.

Bama had a 9 yd drive in the 4th for 3.
A one play 70+ TD.
A 32 yd drive for 3.
They loss yds as they ran out the clock.

That's domination?

Bama won the game and I give them my congrats, but they didn't dominate us.

they outgained us by 200 yards, ran for 4.6 ypc

In the 4th quarter, they outgained us

quote:

Bama had a 9 yd drive in the 4th for 3.

b/c they had already gone 56 yards on the drive

quote:

A one play 70+ TD.

we fricked up, they executed a play

They outgained us 113 to 9 in the 4th quarter, that is domination.

If you count the drive that they were on when the 4th quarter started, 169-9

They had 250 yards of offense in the 2nd half
We had 90. They beat us up in the 2nd half

Your comment I referenced was that they dominated the 4th. So, I discussed the 4th.

If you wish to see a 24-15 loss that we were a score away from having a chance to take the lead 57 mins into the game as being dominated, so be it.

I prefer to see a pretty darn good effort by a team having to fight though some tuff player loses cause of injuries and Bama having to have just bout every break a team could have go their way for them to beat us.

What can I say, I'm a my glass is 1/2 full guy...shoot me.

i believe that I said Bama imposed their will on us, which they did. They ran the ball like they wanted to in the 2nd half and their D came to play.

they held us to 9 yards while gaining over 100, how is that not dominate quarter?

we stuck around and played tough for sure, but Bama killed us for the last 17 minutes of the game
