re: If Brian Kelly had just lost to ULM at home by 7, the fans would be calling for his head.

Yet that’s exactly what Saban did at Bama in 2007.

Are you a young fan?
The standard was uplifted by Saban and his National Championship.
After Hallman and Dinardo, fans were not upset by losses, it was the norm.
After Saban showed us we could do better, then dumb asses won a couple, it was proven we are capable of much better.
BK earns more per game than Hallman made in a year.
More is given, more is expected. Did we get a million dollar value last Sunday?

People need to realize how big of a rebuild this truly is.

The roster was astronomically worse than any point in the 90s and way worse than when Saban got here.

I'm sorry, but on special teams I'm sure Nicholls State line could have prevented the Florida State blocks. That's basic shite that High Schools can do. These guys on the line aren't scrubs. That's all on the coaching staff.

Saban inherited a complete mess with minimal talent and no transfer portal that allows teams to quickly reload. It's amazing that after the first year Saban has won 10+ games every year and 11+ games every year since 2010.

Orgeron left a mess as well but there is some talent and Kelly used the transfer portal well.

But it is completely an Apples to Oranges argument when comparing Kelly to Saban's loss vs ULM.
