If Bama wins they are the BCS National Champions, not argument about it.

But the AP,or any other organization, that chooses to name a national champion is not bound by the BCS rules and can name who ever they consider as the best team for this year their National Champion.

Bama fans sure don't have a problem claiming national championships by organizations out of the main stream or for the year in which they were beaten by Notre Dame and Notre Dame was undefeated.

The rules are clearly established. The BCS trophy, BCS flaws and all, goes to the champion of college football. Period.

Incorrect. The NCAA recognizes the AP as an official national champion of college football. As does all of the NCAA member schools.

if we gain more non garbage time yards than Bama, we win the AP trophy.

because the team that gains more non garbage time yards is better.

a big part if why I am glad we have the BCS, flaws and all. Before, and with the AP or any other poll, this kinda of crap happens. In the BCS, you play a game knowing that if you win you are the champs and if you don't, then bow to the champs and shut up because you failed to do what was required.

I am surprised, even disappointed, that this many LSU fans are hedging to recognize a non-BCS title
